KR,
I am so sorry to hear about your cousin's accident.  You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.  This is always such a tough time of year for teens and cars because of all the proms and grad parties, it seems.

KR, Consider it done! Hope all works out well for you and your relatives.

Wow, KR. Those are some wicked vehicle accidents.  :(

As the guys have said, done and done.

Ole footballer and baseballer, Andrew Schmiesing, signed with the Twins after being drafted in the 11th round. However, unfortunately for the other MIAC football squads he included a term that allows him to play football this fall. He will likely break the career receiving records of former MIAC MVP Steve Ryan. See article below.

Condolences, KR. Thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Yeah, I didn't get around to checking this site @ 8PM on a Friday night.  ;) But then again, I don't check it dozens of times per day during the week either like some...... at least until football starts.

Thanks guys!

Unbelievably, I just talked to my Uncle and they are taking Eric home! He has a few fractures in  the transverse processes of his lumbar spine which will heal on their own as well as a few new developing scars, but other than that and a whole body full of aches, he's doing great!

Here's an article (well a paragraph of an article) on the wreck he was in.

The driver of the truck, who will likely lose his leg and may have some long term organ and brain damage, had so much alcohol in his system that they had to pump his stomach when he got to the hospital. My cousin hadn't had a drop to drink that night (confirmed by the hospital blood draw) and had gotten a ride ot the party from a friend or he would have driven himself home.

As much as we all love to drink, it's a good reminder to give someone else the keys when you've had your share.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Just saw JR handing a Wayzata triple jumper a medal on Kare 11's prep athletes of the week. This guy is everywhere you look.

It's probably tough to pull yourself away from the deep fryer to check Post Patterns.  ;)

piperinsider, sorry I missed the feature on KARE 11 last night. Then again, I would have to stay up past 9:00 p.m. to do that. ;) It was great handing out the medals and trophies at Piperville on Saturday. There were a number of Glencoe-Silver Lake athletes who were on the award stand. I asked one of them if Hank Larson was still coaching at GSL. He said he was and this was his last day as a coach.

Hank coached me in the fall of `70 when I drove from Norwood-Young America Central High everyday after school to run with the Glencoe cross-country team because Central did not have a cc program.

I got to award GSL with their state championship trophy for Class 1A boys. What a way to go out for Hank. It actually got somewhat emotional for the Godfather given my ties with Glencoe all these years.

State Class 1A baseball tourney is in Chaska this Thursday and Friday. Sleepy Eye St. Mary's is back to defend their title.
