...and yes, I am having one right now.  Damn, that's a tasty brew!

DutchFan2004, I think the appropriate phrase would be cruel and unusual punishment. Hope things are well in beautiful Pella. I miss that town. Life is not the same without the Dutch letters.

DuffMan is having a fabulous day.

I left work at noon ("summer hours" -- what a fabulous idea ;D).  Stopped at the liquor store to buy some beverages for the weekend.  Lo and behold, 22oz Fat Tire in the fridge!!!  SCORE!  Apparently, they just got it in yesterday.

Life is good :)

Sorry Duff, but I really feel Fat Tire is overrated.  Sierra Nevada's Pale Ale is a far superior ale.  Yeah, I know where talking Amber vs American ale but you can't beat Sierra Nevada's cascade hops.

Not sure if I've tried their Pale Ale.  I will give it a shot.

JR,

The Dutch letters are good, but I am partial to the puff pillows.  Same type of dough used but has a nice cream filling.  The filling is a heart attack waiting to happen.  The baked goods from either of those bakeries are just great.

I don't post on this board very often, but I had to chime in Re Fat Tire...

I spent some time in Omaha a few years back, and was introduced to Fat Tire.  It was awesome.  I was dissapointed to learn that they did not ship east of the Miss...I tried everything to get some out here, including calling them up directly...they refused to ship....

now I have to look everytime I go to the midwest, but have been unsucessful the last few years....

I simply revert to my other favorite Shakespeare Stout (a chocolaty(sp?) guiness)
but that was one good brew...

Well, I brought a 6 pack to each game I attended last year!  8)  Along with 6 packs of Anchor Steam and some other West Coast brew.  It'll be there again this fall as well.

I thought it looked familiar.  From what I recall, the SN Pale Ale is good, but I like the Fat Tire better.  I can't claim it's my favorite, but it is darn good.  I'm glad they finally brought it to MN.

QuoteSt. John's football coach John Gagliardi is in for quite a homecoming when he returns to his hometown of Trinidad, Col. next week.

The city of about 9,077 renames its community sports complex in Gagliardi's honor Friday, which is designated as John Gagliardi Day. It features a speech by Gagliardi that evening. Gagliardi also appears alongside Denver Broncos coach Mike Shanahan on Wednesday, when the town celebrates Mike Shanahan Day and names a street in the new Cougar Canyon sub-division in his honor.

I must be the first PPer up.
