Fins,

A broken arm doesn't have to keep him out.  If they cast it and there is no chance of further damage he could tote the pig with the good arm.

I suppose that's true. But he is still somewhat of an unknown commodity as an everyday player. I bet that cast hurts on the defender's chin.

And to prove that you can't believe a damn thing I say, check this out.

Further proof: Today's joke du jour

The madam opened the brothel door and saw a rather dignified,
well-dressed, good-looking man in his late forties or early fifties.
"May I help you?" she asked.
"I want to see Valerie," the man replied.
"Sir, Valerie is one of our most expensive ladies. Perhaps you would prefer someone else," said the madam.
"No. I must see Valerie," he replied.

Just then, Valerie appeared and announced to the man that she charged $5,000 a visit. Without hesitation, the man pulled out five thousand dollars and gave them to Valerie, and they went upstairs. After an hour, the man calmly left.

The next night, the same man appeared again, once more demanding to see Valerie. Valerie explained that no one had ever come back two nights in a row -- too expensive -- and there were no discounts. The price was still $5,000.

Again the man pulled out the money, gave it to Valerie, and they went upstairs.  After an hour, he left.
The following night the man was there yet again. Everyone was
astounded that he had come for a third consecutive night, but he paid
Valerie and they went upstairs.
After their session, Valerie questioned the man. "No one has ever
been with me three nights in a row. Where are you from?" she asked.
The man replied, Underwood MN.

"Really" she said. "I have family in  Battle Lake."
"I know," the man said. "Your father died, and I am your sister's attorney.  She asked me to give you your $15,000 inheritance."
The moral of the story is that three things in life are certain:

1. Death
2. Taxes
3. Being screwed by a lawyer

Gets very cold on that Bay aka just like Candlestick.

Wrong-o.  Yes, it can get cold by the Bay in the summer, especially when the fog rolls in, but ATT is much warmer than the stick, of which I suspect you've had little experience.  As for the game, I wore shorts and put on a light jacket in the 7th or 8th inning, though I imagine living in FL you would have had your parka on by the 5th.

Who said the beer was comped?  I said it was prepaid; since it was my firm's event and the overhead comes out of my pocket, that's my money.  And for you to call someone a snob is too much.

Hey Tmerton,

Maybe you missed Common Sense 101 in law school.  Fine you paid for the beer.  But then seems pretty lame to complain about having only "butt light" as you called it at this schmoozing event, when your own law firm PAID for it.

TDT: Smart A$$, yea.  Snob, far from it.  You need to get out and about more Tmerts.

I'll agree to disagree on the "cold factor" along the Bay.  Everytime I have been to both Pac Bell and Candlestick it was real cold.  Sun shining, 70s + in the city, etc. but once you got in the Parks it was coat weather and primarily because of the brutal sweeping winds.  Don't act all smug about the FL thing.  I was born and raised in MN and know all about cold weather.  Thanks for providing a picture of a parka, totally forgot what they look like...  ::)  ::)

BDB- Can't believe someone has usurped my moniker, then proceeds to give a good name a bad name.  >:(

tmerts- want kind of a two-bit firm are you running there? A firm outing at the park, then serve Bud Light?  ??? Your social committee is in desperate need of a coup.

Willy Wonka

Sweet Jebus...this current argument really puts Wonka in a pickle. He hates both posters so much that his head is about the explode in trying to decide who to back...perhaps we could just call Mr. Vick to rent his facilities and host a cage match to the death between Mr. Momma's Boy and Mr. West Coast Beer Snob?? In fact, Wonka is sure the dogs could then take care of the survivor, thereby making everyone happy.

KR, can I interest you handling the bookie responsibilities?
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

After living in Oregon for ten years, I will admit I can be a bit wussy about the cold, but I will suck it up for a Johnnie game anyday! ;D

Garnett to the Celtics reported as a done deal-- here's the question: notwithstanding WW, does anyone else in Minnesota care?

My only interest is whether this is Herschel Walker in reverse?

I care.  I owned Timberpup tickets from 1989 to 2006.  Many years the only reason to go was to watch KG.

I don't think this is Herschel in reverse.  First, KG is not nuts.  Second, the man can still play.

That said, I think it is time for the Wolves to blow it up and start again.  I hope KG can win a title in Boston.  He deserves it.  Hope there are enough balls to go around...

Big loss in the football world...

Bill Walsh has definitely been the most radically innovative mind in football since the inventor of the forward pass. Everyone would still be running the veer if it weren't for him.

I'm all over it.
Current odds:
Tmerts is a 3:2 fav over the young buck.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.
