Let the sale begin:

Twins Trade Castillo To Mets
http://wcco.com/topstories/local_story_211191025.html

So does this make Casilla or Punto the everyday 2B?

Punto has the experience, but Casilla has to be able to hit better than .213!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Garnett to the Celtics reported as a done deal-- here's the question: notwithstanding WW, does anyone else in Minnesota care?

My only interest is whether this is Herschel Walker in reverse?

How long did Mike Lynn last after that deal? Perhaps McHale will go soon. I'm sure Danny Ainge told McHale that his (Danny's) job was on the line & he needs KG to make the push for a title. McHale knows Taylor will never fire him, so why not give up the best Minnesota basketball player since George Mikan. This is  just the opinion of a casual NBA viewer.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

In keeping with my natural inclination to discuss football related items only ;) on this board (Oh Dusty, where aaarrreee yooooouuu?) the Luberts situation will certainly make the SJU running game interesting. Before our nation's birthday, it was looking like a tandem of Luberts and Patnode. Now presumably with Luberts out, Patnode is the one known quantity. Next on the depth chart would be Blackmore, but I heard that he broke his arm last week. Looks like some younger backs in the system or one of the transfers will have an opportunity. But who?  ???

Luberts affirms decision to withdraw from SJU

My time away was full of fun and excitement....  My take:

1.  Spent last weekend in Boulder (MS Conference), and enjoyed multiple "Tires".

2.  Mr. Luberts is up the creek.  I have talked to a couple of girls who know this young lady, and Luberts was well aware of her age, and alcohol was involved.  Sad thing is, he is a local "hero" in Pierz, so there are people who are strongly blaming the victim in this situation.

3.  TDT: Vegas baby!!  Veek is AWOL in many circles this summer.  With the spendthriftiness of our society, the collection business is booming.  Plus, he has to pay for the mansion on the river!

4.  Who really cares about hockey?  Big surprise that a bunch of Rum-Dumbs from Canda get clipped at Lutsen.  "Hey coach, the frickin' maching ate my quarter!"

5.  Was in my office this morning, and low and behold the jarhead across the street was out with what I am assuming is his wife, staring up a tree in their yard.  As my eyes glance up, I notice there to be a child about 25 feet up in the tree.  naturally, I open my window to hear the revelations, and am greeted by, "Close your FU&#$* window you over educated a$$hole, this S*$# aint's nunya holly suckin' bidness"  Ahhhh....Life in Little Falls

ritz, glad you had a good time in Boulder. My "little girl" was there this past weekend, also, trying to get everything squared away with her roommates now that their lease is over. I will be there in October for parents' weekend at UC. Wonderful city. Did you make it down to Pearl Street?

Ritz-
Welcome back. How dare that guy call you an over-educated a$$hole? You're not over-educated.  ;)

Ritz, I love hearing about the guy across the street.  :D

Must be the same idiot pouring water down his chimney last January etc.

You'll have to let us know if they had to call the FD to get the kid down.

Ritzy-
Is Pierz really "another world" or like "the twilight zone" as the 10th post in the SCTimes chat says? Is it central Minnesota's Sodom and Gomorrah?

I love Boulder! I was there for a conference too. The Flatirons are stunning and Pearl St. is a lot of fun. My conference included a trip to Golden to tour the Coors Brewery. I am not a big Coors fan, but the free samples were nice! ;) ;D

Big loss in the football world...

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2954719

Bill Walsh has definitely been the most radically innovative mind in football since the inventor of the forward pass. Everyone would still be running the veer if it weren't for him.

Bill would have run the veer if he thought it would work.  I remember the season the players were on strike and the owners fielded teams with "replacement" players.  The Giants came out to play the Niners and on one series the Niners came out in a wishbone formation.  Parcells almost died from laughter, but Bill was just going with what he thought would work with the players he had.

The SF Chronicle sports section has about 8 pages on Bill this morning.  He will be missed.
