Story from the Daily Planet on the Golden Rodents invading Collegeville. Hard to believe the players will be able to go all week without cell phones!  ;)

todays story was interesting too....talk about a double take seeing John in all Maroon and Gold...

I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

I'm coming from Ohio to the opener vs SJU.  Where are some places to stay and what should I be sure to do to soak up the Johnnie experience?

This one makes you think WTF?

Gives a whole new meaning to Angus beef ....

Duff,
Thanks for the FT heads up. I'll look for the 1554. BTW, I'd like  to get some angling in on this trip but won't happen. Old SJU roommate is actually heading to Rainy next week, but too much biz to take care of.

dbhammel,
Thanks. Don't spend much time in the TC when I get back there these days so I'm looking for something new and good. I'll probably grab a burger at the Nook for a quick lunch. I used to hit places like the outdoor dining at the Black Forest in Minneapolis and Frost's in SP. In the winter, we'd head to Murray's, Manny's for Mancini's for the cow.

Meanwhile, I booked some fairly full flights so maybe there'll be a bump ticket I can use back for a fall Saturday in Collegeville ...

Decker, Kofoed together again

Hmmm ... nothing about Decker's baseball skills?  Must have been the coaching he got.  ;)  Speaking of which, where's Fins?  Too much WE?

John looks surprisingly good in maroon and gold-- very Bierman-esque.  Next to those two, however, Fasching looked unfortunately like a skunk that inhabits the east side of the St. Croix.   ;D

Thank goodness for that SJU logo in the corner, however.
