No doubt Sid was listening to the Evil Neighbor 830 on his way up there.

Is there any other radio station?  ;D

Dagnabit, BDB - I just realized we spent 10 days driving in MN and never listened to the AM radio - too busy listening to our CD of MN bird calls. ;)

The more I stare at this, the more I think Gary Fasching bears a striking resemblance to Pepe Le Pew. ;)

I dare you to say that to his face.

Nice try, Duff.  They really do have the same smile though.  Besides, I think Pepe cuts quite the dashing figure.:D ;)

And that is without G-man's mustache!

Ah, the good, old days.  I wish he'd grow it back.

tmerton,  take your bird call CD, mix in the audio track from the movie "Fargo" and add some inaccurate weather forecasts, a couple thousand ads for cremation services and you have the the Nightime Neighbor to the Northwest. 830

Edit: And don't forget the Udder Cream!

There's nothing like the Ely AM station though. Especially when you get the message part where people can have them broadcast messages to the folks who live out in the bush with no other means of communication.
"To Scout on Woodduck Island: Larry and Francine will be there Tuesday, instead of Monday. Ed's out of the hospital doing fine. He loved your maple syrup."

57Johnnie, you would be more than welcome to be my guest for the Ole game. Let me know how many tickets you need. I have reserved seats on the 45 yard line.

Carver County Fair starts tomorrow in Waconia. One of the best county fairs in the state.
JJR,
Thanks again. Let me know if you got my PM. E-mail came back undeliverable. Looking forward to becoming a Stiftungfester (or is it Stiftungfestus?) in persona rather than in absentia.
;D

I am going to be placing some money on the Gophers football team-as the magic of SJU will certainly rub off.
BTW-Duff, we have Fat Tire beer down here-$5.25 at the local bar.

And Powdermilk Biscuits?

We lived in Nebraska for a couple of years; I still miss the TV and radio ads for swine dysentery treatments.

The smog in LA seems to be a bit clearer today which leads me to believe football season is very close at hand.  This should be a fun season, especially seeing Olaf getting shut up...again.

QuoteWill the Oles get over the hump in the MIAC?

Hell no :D

SJU will no doubt be great this year but aren't they both chasing the Royals?
