Bus Driver,

I used Frank Rickard's camera,so he may post some photos from the contest ;D

Frank was also sporting a very cool game worn throw back CST/UST jersey. On the back was the player's name T. Suck
which I believe is a German name pronounce (Zook). At any rate there must have been a lot of Sucks over the year's because the jersey had the first initial "T". I got a photo of it so Frank may post it. ;)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Chasing MILFs since '82...

Pat's playoff projections are up!

He has SJU, Linfield, and UWW all staying in the West as well as Monmouth staying in the West....

In other news, the west region final will be played in Salem, Virginia and be called the Stagg bowl.
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Absolute injustice if Oxy is allowed to go to the South which has decidedly weaker competition leaving Linfield, UWW, SJU and Cord in the West.

I hope the National Collection Agency of America does me proud today.

Can someone post the playoff seedings as they are announced for those of us without cable?

KR-call me at noon-e-mail or instant message me for my number.

If D3's projection is accurate it will be fun to see Monmouth. I enjoy seeing new teams in the playoffs. I know nothing about Monmoth at all, other than the conference they play in and I've seen enough of St. Norbert.

Kilted Rat

Thanks Zip,

I'll probably take you up on that!

New monkeystomp term proposal:

Sometimes I ponder what became of Seth #99 the big bird flippin TE on the Norbies. I know many others have asked as well. Sounds like he didn't play the next year...sad the kid did have talent.

Interesting note, here are the individuals in charge of evaluating the West region for the NCAA.

West Evaluation Region
Bob Berezowitz, University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, cochair
Al Dorenkamp, Central College (Iowa), cochair
Rick Candaele, Claremont McKenna-Harvey Mudd-Scripps Colleges
Steve Johnson, Bethel College
Eric Raeburn, Coe College
Larry Terry, University of Wisconsin, Lacrosse
John Tully, Whitworth College
Greg Wallace, Grinnell College

Not sure that I like Johnson, 2 IIAC coaches, 2 WIAC coaches, and another Iowa team on the board.

Any chance Johnson will try to shaft SJU?

One would think that the UWW rep would want UWW to get an easier road by shifting to some other conference....

Thoughts???

Bread,

Rumor is that he's serving in Iraq. Best wishes to him and all serving there, come home safe!

KR, thanks for the update and certainly I wish him and all the others the same. Hard to imagine one year at this time the biggest worry is a playoff game and a couple years later it is staying alive and serving your country. My prayers to them all.

If Cal Lu doesn't make it, it will be interesting to see if they just leave Oxy here as well.  As Pat said, this isn't much less of an injustice, and it costs them a flight.

What the heck, maybe they should just leave it the 8 teams in the West and produce a true West region champ - that's kind of fun anyway.  I doubt that there is a player at SJU, or Linfield who is intimidated by any other team and I suspect that is the case for some other teams as well.  We wouldn't want them to ship someone in to clean up if the West was down one year.

KR- you posted the regional advisory committee-- they evaluate the regions (IOW, put together the regional rankings).  The Championship committee is as follows:

East—Dan MacNeill, Head Football Coach, State University College at Cortland; Ken Andrews, Commissioner, Middle Atlantic States Collegiate Athletic Corporation;
North—Jim Collins, Head Football Coach, Capital University; Dick Kaiser, Director of Athletics, Defiance College;
South—Charles Harris, Director of Athletics, Averett University;
Steve Mohr, Head Football Coach; Trinity University (Texas),
West—Bob Berezowitz, Head Football Coach, University of Wisconsin, Whitewater;  Al Dorenkamp, Director of Athletics, Central College

The question in my mind is does Berezowitz want to play Mt Union and Wabash or Linfield and SJU?  The second question is who Central wants to play in the first round.
SJU Champions 2003 NCAA D3, 1976 NCAA D3, 1965 NAIA, 1963 NAIA; SJU 2nd Place 2000 NCAA D3; SJU MIAC Champions 2018, 2014, 2009, 2008, 2006, 2005, 2003, 2002, 2001, 1999, 1998, 1996, 1995, 1994, 1993, 1991, 1989, 1985, 1982, 1979, 1977, 1976, 1975, 1974, 1971, 1965, 1963, 1962, 1953, 1938, 1936, 1935, 1932
