Thanks to those for the info on Chi-Town...We are going to the Trampled by Turtles concert at the House of Blues Friday, then doing cocktails on the 95th of the Hancock building on Saturday night...

Being a Capone junkie that I am, the Mrs. and I are going to do a little sight seeing with some old Capone haunts....

What is the over/under on the Festivus, now that the Alumni Association/school is in the know, being commercialized??  I can see it now. .

Maybe you can find the loot that was supposed to be in that vault Geraldo opened up on prime time oh so many years ago.

I hope, for the sake of Mrs. Ritz, you will be avoiding the establishments at which Alphonse, um, acquired the disease that lead to his death. ;)

Speaking of TDT's attire, when are these going to be making an appearance?  I swore you said they would be worn at your first appearance.  I don't recall seeing them.

57: Orange Surebet with a white belt...

I do see however that they don't carry that exact style anymore, but I would think the Raspberry Sure-bet would suffice..

Fellas do yourself a favor and check out Wildcat11's blog at www.catdomealumni.blogspot.com, scroll down to the Sept. 12 entry for the video/prank.  This is solid gold material.

OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG!  Possibly the greatest prank in the history of the world.  As soon as I saw "video board" and "prank", I was pretty sure what it was.  I was right, and it was everything I hoped it would be.

Buckman you sneaky sonuvab!ch...I completely forgot about that proclamation.  Glad you dug through my posts for the evidence.  The reason I didn't wear them on 9-1-07 was because it was very warm  8).  Likewise for 9-8-07 at UWRF  ;)

I will be honoring my promise and wear these trousers to my next appearance in October.  No pics fellas!!!

FYI: DustySJU, Gundy is ONLY a junior.  The rest of the MIAC should have trouble sleeping just like the WIAC has over Mr. Beaver.

Wow, this board is dead today!

Cobbers, what's with this passing game that Horan has been using?  That's not the Cobber football that we're used to.

Is he just utilizing the talents of the players he has this year, or do you think this is a shift in Horan's philosophy?

Re: Cobber offense

Actually the former offensive coordinate and long time assistant Bob Nick retired last year. I know he had a lot to do with their offense in prior years. So its probably, a change in assistants  more than anything.

Definately using strengths. Nelson came from a State Champion high school (Minntka). He brings two threats: The ability to find the open guy and the sense to know when it's time to run/throw it away/eat it. It's really easy for teams to scout the cobbers when they constantly run the option offense and throw on second or third and long. But when they call a deep pattern and complete on first down, it's harder to prepare for it.
