The only thing that will suffer Ole is your ability this Saturday to pull your head out of your rear end.  If I was Duff I'd come up with better words cuz he's college graduate.

It's just amazing how many Ole's are running the show in this city isn't it???

Oh, by the way... I was one of those stupid math students however I did manage a C in calculus.

...but having talked with people familiar to the school I think most people would argue that St. Olaf is a better school academically.

If you're talking about band and choir, I will give you that. ::)

Since when did this turn into www.d3academics.com?

Say what you want about the academics of both institutions, but I thought we were here to discuss football...and beer.  The Oles have a huge disadvantage this week in that they can't water down the field at Clemens.  This could spell disaster for them! :o

My wife works with a family whose kids go to one of the elite private schools in the city. One of the kids had to write a 20-page paper on the French Revolution...in the third grade. Their academic standards are probably higher than St. Olaf's. Who cares? Y
Wow, third grade in central minnesota meant that we only got as far as coloring within the lines.

Did you ever think maybe the professor was trying to motivate you by giving that example? Maybe Olies wouldn't quit on the hard problems. I would bet that professor used that story at every college or university which employed his services, just substituting the previous school.

There you go again, by showing that you can spell d-i-s-a-s-t-e-r you have turned this into an academic discussion again ;)
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Good point Duff-but they will be able to diagram their plays using calculus. I will be worried if the College Bowl breaks out rather than a football game, otherwise, SJU in a stomp.

Dammit Duff, you wouldn't have to make three straight posts if you weren't so durn stoopid!  Aren't you amazed that I calculized all the way to 3 in a rown with my St. John's edujamacatin'?

You wanna hear some wild-ass anecdotal evidence about how great a school St. John's is?  I hear St. John's is such a tough academic school that it took Blake Elliott himself 5 years to finish his degree.  Heck, I think Ryan Keating was in his mid- to late-30s by the time he finally garnered enough credits to graduate.  Jamie Steffensmeier and Jason Good had to transfer to St. John's because they were afraid they couldn't get a good enough degree from North Dakota State.  Take that, calculus prof who says no Johnnies can do calculus!

In other news, the Johnnies have decided to distill the offense to it's most basic components so as to not confuse their intellectually inept players.  Jimmy Gagliardi has already printed up two large flashcards to hold up from the sidelines.

Play #1, Patnode run:

Play #2, Kofoed to Weber pass:

It's already being hailed as Jimmy G's most aggressive and fundamentally sound gameplan in years.

Ole Fan-
You should be careful bashing the SJU math department. They run the chains at the games.

Looks like St. John's will be seeing a lot of 1st and 9 situations. ;)

WAHOO3

I always enjoy the annual conversation about which school is better or who is smarter, either way no one who has the time to make thousands of posts on a website and spend hundreds of hours a year reading them has much credibility to conclude on it. The graduates from our schools who really make a difference aren't the ones on this site. I'm sure they have better ways to use their time, so lets stop arguing about how great they are and get back to pretending we know about football.
