Perhaps more importantly, Wonka wants to know if #13 will be on the Ole sideline this week. He's got a pretty sweet job as Gant and Deontae's hype man, with the ear bling that sparkles. I wonder if he's got diamonds on his **** chain, too?

that's a lot of hostility towards the oles wonka.  I guess a forty point loss can do that to a guy...

Wonka,
Why do you insist on individually attacking guys you don't know anything about?  Greg St. Remy is one of the nicest guys you could ever meet.

benchwarmerbanana

Actually Deontae and Horace are also two of the nicest guys you could ever meet.

SUMMIT!!!!!

As far as the academics "discussion" goes--- what do Bill Gates, Sam Walton and Dick Schultz, 3 of the most successful entrepreneurs of the past 25 years, all have in common?         (they never earned a college degree)

But as far as FOOTBALL goes....I've seen both teams play and I have respect for both teams and coaches. Penz is a great QB, and his line gives him ample time to set up. He is blessed with some good receivers.

That being said, I can't see SJU losing. They haven't lost a Homecoming game in like 20 years. More importantly, they have a very, very good defense. The SJU defense should hold the Oles to well below their season avg.

SJU has a more balanced offense, and I'm not overly impressed with Oles D.

It wont be a repeat of 2005, but I see the outcome being 31-14, SJU

Now, back to my Fat Tire 6 pack (12 oz bottles, not available in MN yet)
After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.

Let me start by saying this:  I have not seen the Johnnies play this year.  I have seen the Oles play.  I am basing this opinion on conversations that I have had with people associated with the SJU football program, what I have read on post patterns, what I have seen in reviewing statistics, and what I know about the St. Olaf football program.

If St. Olaf wants to win the game, they will need to do the following:
1.  Put pressure on Kofoed.  Make him make quick/rash decisions and watch as the mediocre QB shows up (not saying that he is a mediocre QB, but he can play inconsistently).
2.  The offense needs to play their game (PROTECT PENZ), and they will be fine.
3.  Remember, the Johnnies are not a team of superhumans, no matter what you read on here.  They are just regular people.

If it is close at the half, the Oles will take this one.

Oles 27, Johnnies 23

Maniac: was that the Hamline game at homecoming-I was there. :'( I won't be at this game. ;D And we do have Fat Tire in 12 oz bottles down here!

If the game is close at half I still expect SJU to win out easily, as SJU dominates the second half and I believe the stats will confirm this.

Just from what I know about SJU from last year.  If it is close I believe that is in SJU's favor.  I think they will find a way to win as all good teams do.  A team that is used to winning the close ones and used to winning period have an advantage on the other team.  Good luck on Sat to both teams.

After a lackluster performance this past Saturday (excluding the O-line, our rushing attack, and our D) SJU will come out firing on all cylinders this week.  STO is riding a high from their big win this past week and SJU is hungry and ready to prove who's the top team in the MIAC.   The outcomes from last week's games will play to the advantage of SJU this week.

I can't wait!  I wish tomorrow were Saturday.

Go Johnnies!!!

BDB - let me know when you are coming to LF and I would be happy to meet you for a libation or two or three.  Maybe Fins could join Ritz, you, and I since he is just down the road.
Go Johnnies!!!
