Not to get off the subject, but has anybody thought about WTF is going to happen when Gag's retires(dies).  Some of the alum's and I have talked, including a buddy of mine, SJU alumni pres. Greg Schumacker, have discussed who would replace him.  I know this will open up a can of worms, but wth, I'm bored.  I know who I would want:Mike Grant and who I WOULD'T want: Jimmy  what do you guy's think???

Hey Mighty Royal, the current Bethal QB, Ben Wetzel, is from my home/current town. I see his dad every sunday in church. I asked him after the BU/SJU game how he was feelin', cuz he took a hellofa pounding in that game, his dad said, "he's a little sore today". Great kid, great family, great school.

I think any of you St. John's posters would be an excellent choice to be the next Johnnie's head coach.  Obviously you all know a hell of a lot more about the game of football than anyone else in the country.

Duff, I've heard that also. Gary's a great coach also.  I don't think Jerry would want both baseball and football, plus he's great d-coach.  The only reason Mike left was the time away from his kids. He left when I was a soph., so his kids have got to be almost out of school by now??? Mike was a great guy, and if you go by Gag's office after most home games, Mike is in there bsin' with gag's. Jimmy is an idiot, I played with him. Livin on dad's name.

We had this very conversation while watching the stomping of the Tommies. My vote is for Gary. Not only is he an incredible football coach (I've lost count of the number of All-American linebackers we've had since I started following the team), but he's an amazing person as well. I only played one season ('99), but he still recognizes and says "Hi" to me whenever our paths cross. The only other person from the staff to do the same is Leroy, and he was the equipment guy. ;)
Nice day, huh?

MC LB's = much closer game than St. Johns thinks.....
I could be wrong, but I doubt it....

Shoes - no more LeRoy.

OFS - yeah, it'll take more than some crappy LBs to make it a game.

SJU92#57,
So Linfield doesn't impress you whatsoever....so what. Every year is a different year and a different team.  The Linfield team that was beaten in 2003 is an entirely different team than the 2005 team --as is the Johnnie team.  We'll just have to play the game, assuming we both advance that far in the playoffs, and then we'll see who is the winner.  No matter what it will be a good game on both sides of the ball against two good D3 programs.  I know one thing for certain, if we advance that far, the Cats are looking forward to playing the Johnnies because it is a quality program.  I think there is a fair possibility that the team which comes out of the West Region this year has a pretty good chance, if they play their game, at taking home the Walnut and Bronze.
LEAVE NO DOUBT
