TDT, gameday forecast: temp high of 30 with chance of snow, how about on your end?
Everyday is payday in paradise.

Veek

Frank - great article on johnniefootball.com.

I won't be at the game tomorrow.  This weekend is the last one before our third addition to the family officially arrives so there are a number of duties that need to be completed first.  Of course, I'll have my radio on.

I can see this being a tough game but I think that SJU will be victorious by ten points, 34-24.

Have fun at Patrick's!  It was known as Schoops sp? back during my college days.  With homecoming and SJU in town one would think that they would be opening their doors by 9 a.m. at the latest.  I can't believe that Frank and Mongo don't have enough pull to make this happen.  Enjoy the day.

Go Johnnies!!!

best of luck with the new addition ... and a little K to get you to a nice round 200, veek.

Hey VOJ: How bout a plug or two for JohnnieFootball.com tomorrow??  Keep up the good work, it is much appreciated.

Veek you big bich.  I am starting to wonder who makes more road trips, you or Finsleft?  Ok, excellent on more offspring.  You are quickly catching up to DustySJU.  Glad your wife will be getting things done before the big tilts of late October thru December...

Stanbob: It is ridiculously warm here.  Something like 92 for a high, and 72-75 for a low.  Still real humid too, so I get sweaty balls pretty much instantaneously when I venture outta the Swimming Pool/Air Conditioning.

Sure was refreshing not to have Wonka around this week.  You know he woulda had 72 outrageous theories on why GAC will beat SJU and how he hates Gags yadda yadda yadda.

Closed Circuit to BlueDevil Bob: Call me in the a.m. when your radio show starts.  I always miss the 1st hour as I slumber away on Saturday morning.

No need to worry about a Karma hit here GHC.  I've informed the fellas that you are one of the good guys.

There's an impeccable recommendation from an unimpeachable source.  :o

Tomorrow's game prediction...SJU 45 Gusties 14...a late score against the reserves, otherwise its one and done like last year...

Can't wait to see the new digs...am a little worried about the stone wall surrounding the field, its pretty tight to the end zone...

Not only the endzone but the visitor side bleachers look to be directly over the player bench... guess it'll be easier for us to yell at Jimmy when he calls for the triple reverse statue of liberty end around to the tackle who then laterals back to the quarterback for a shovel pass to the tight end... for a one yard loss.   ;D

Thanks for the +k, Repete.  Right back at you.

57Johnnie - it was a pleasure meeting you last Saturday.  Thanks for the tasty cheese curds.

TDT - I can't wait for the day when I can ride your ass when your responsibilities include more than books, babes, and sporting events!  It's all about prioritizing.  I keep my "get out of home, away game passes" for the playoffs.  Once my kids are old enough to travel and sit in their seats for a game I'll be back to watching all of SJU's  games in person.  I've been to every stadium in the MIAC multiple times, and to many more throughout the country than even you oh wise one.  I will give you credit, though, as you do make it to a number of games, including playoff tilts, from a great distance away.

Oh, and by the way, I can appreciate your comments about the excitement of NHL games but you went way overboard by claiming that they are more exciting than watching SJU football.  SJU's tradition of having excellent teams coupled with the best stadium and fan support in all of DIII football make it the most exciting sporting event to watch in the country, period!!  Get with it, TDT.  You should be ashamed of yourself.

Go Johnnies!!!!

Thanks for the props, Dusty.

Anyone know where the gamecast of the Gustie-Johnnie game online is?

p.s.  Veek do you drink the koolaid for breakfast every morning, or just on game days ;D?
I like to picture my Jesus singing lead vocals for Lynard Skynard with like a band of Angels behind him, and I'm in the front row HAMMERED drunk!!!

man, Hawaii's QB Brennan is something sweet...just overcoming the off-filed mess his life was a few year back is a big deal, but the kid is NLF-ready (ahem, GMs in Winter Park & Lambeau take note) and poised! nearly 550 yards passing and the oponent wasn't Principia or Crown. Best part was he looked like he was having as much fun as the kids throwing the ball around in the end zone at Clemens

Brennan is indeed good, but June Jones is the most classless person I've ever watched give a post game interview ... especially since he used to be an assistant for Dick Tomey (one of the really good (and few good) guys in D-1 football).  I used to root for Hawaii but will now root against them as long as Classless Jones is their coach.  That was dispicable. :P :P

Edit: FYI, for those who did not see the game, San Jose State self destructed in the last four minutes with penalties and a fumble, and Hawaii managed to tie the game with about 30 seconds left and then win in OT.  Good for them.  June Jones then said (a) that Hawaii was clearly the better team and, (b) that but for the conditions (rain) Hawaii could have put another 60 points up on the board.

Yeah, I saw that interview too.  Stupid to say what he did.

Thanks, Duff.  Try your best to keep Frank and Mongo in order.  Beat Frank to Patrick's so you can load the jukebox with some bad tunes which will make Mongo want to break something upon his arrival.
Go Johnnies!!!

Cobbernation,

Not that I wouldn't like to see it happen, but how in the holy hell do your Cobbers score that many points with an offense that can not throw the ball with any degree of effectiveness?  The contrast between younger head coaches could not be starker.....Horan=pure class, the other guy=not so much.

Go Johnnies......
