There's a dude over on the WIAC board just crusin' for a bruisin'. He just teed it up, but I didn't have the heart this late to pull out the big dog and smoke it down the fairway about 295.

Who besides Duff wanders over there?  ???

Damn Tmert, if nothing else wander over there for the entertainment value  ;)

Those guys are way too cranked up on cheesehead football to be very entertaining.  I believe BDB calls it the No Fun Board. That's seemed pretty accurate to me :o ;) And bless you. ;D

Eight more days until the Rox play, any effects with that 57?

ROR- I see you're up early. Back hurting?
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

The drunks in the Gustie student section were calling me, among other things, "Bill Belicheck" when I was on their side of the field shooting pictures.  I think Wonka had text messaged one of them with the idea.  ;)

Oh, those wacky college kids.  :D

57 - Congrats on getting the Rockies into the big show.

How long can this run last?  ???

I hope 25 of 26  ;D I can't believe they got this far since they were just a .500 club until Sept.
stanbob - who knows what 8 days will do? :P
The older the violin - the sweeter the music!

Johnnie Red

I suppose I should probably purchase some Rockies memorabilia this weekend when I am in Denver/Boulder for parents' weekend at the University of Colorado with my "little girl." I know it will be tough to miss the Johnnie-Piper game in St. Paul. Hopefully the Colorado-Kansas game will be a great game to be at. I have already been given the directive from my daughter that I cannot wear anything red to the game. Have to go with black or yellow. :o

Smart thinking on your baby's part. You don't want to be mistaken for a Cornhusker or Okie in the People's Republic of Boulder.  8)

Funny how they (ONE POSTER) are already counting on playing MUCk in Salem.  I have a feeling the Big Red will have something to say about that this season...

We on the "No Fun Board," find it is better to just ignore him when he makes his occasional appearances with his idiotic statements.  Has had a few screen names over the years but is usually pretty easy to spot with his outragous comments and mispelled words.   ;)

Everyday is payday in paradise.

My favorite Gagliardi quote from the article:

QuoteWhen somebody heard I'd gotten to 450, he said, "Geez, are you that old?"

A tradition unrivaled...

Just to show the diversity on this board, my favorite..."I think, in some ways, I was a better coach then because I didn't know what I didn't know. "

There are still five unclaimed quotes left if anyone wants to claim any of them as their favorite.

IN my opinion Concordia definitely outplayed St. Olaf.  St. Olaf was lucky come away with a win form that game.  Deontae not playing did hurt the D, but it was ugly.  I did like the decision to go for 2 by Concordia since they were on the road.  St. Olaf was finally starting to stop Concordia during that final drive.

The Ole offense also looked to be missing a few players, and Schmeising needs to get more involved in the Offense.

The penalty stat has to be wrong.  I seem to remember the Oles getting more penalties.  The Oles at times make it an art, and of course they always come at the worst times.

Yes it was up and down for both sides of the football for both teams, but generally a tight matchup.  I agree with the call to go for two at the end as well as did the guys that I talked to after the game.  To a few of the STO fans, a few of you need to take a look at the MIAC motto.. they score sould certainly say that we had a great afternoon of football, there was no reason for the lack of sportsmanship.  As for the calls, there was def more call against the Oles, but that does in no way excuse some (4 in particular) calls that were easily missed.  All in all a great matchup as I said before.. I just dont see how the Cobbs are still being snuffed out of a "others receiving votes" catagory.. our boys are giving us a great season, and obviously besides the SJU score, should be seen as another great team in D-III.  For all its worth, they have my vote.

See you in St. Paul on Saturday

I think they aren't getting votes because the cobbers have 3 losses.  It doesn't matter if you lose by 1 to a ranked team.  To earn votes you need to earn victories.  No matter if you win by 1 or 100 a win is a win and that gets you votes!

57,
Looks like it's over.  ;D Rockies are definately favored to win it all.

One more thing this morning and who would have guessed that if you are featured on the cover of Madden video games that you are bound to get hurt during the season.  This season Madden 08 featured Vince Young and now he is hurt, but only day to day.  The creators of madden asked LT to be on the cover and he said NO simply based on the fact of the madden cover curse!!
