At 2:52 pm this afternoon I became a proud parent for the third time with my wife giving birth to our first son, Eric James.

Everyone is doing fine and yes, he is planning on going to SJU!

Congratulations Veek! I've got an October boy as well and it is a sweet thing.

Remember now, you are only 5 years away from starting youth hockey.

I like BU's chances against the Oles...I was at the St. Olaf "major let down" game against the Johnnies and I don't see them winning...they do run that Check Delay to the runningback very well though and was impressed with the big hitter #41 on defense...Penz is a tad overrated...he's good but doesn't quite have the armstrength...is Hutchins back for this game?...he could be the difference maker...was more impressed with him more than anyone else in the entire Johnnie/Ole game...

It looks like there might be some disgruntled former Johnie opponents posting in the comments section there.

I've seen this guy's uni stories on espn.com, but didn't know he had an entire blog dedicated to it. Quite the hobby. Well, at least he's not out sniffing glue.

I like the Oles chances this weekend.  The main reason that they had trouble stopping the run against concordia is because the defensive scheme was terrible.  LB's on the QB/DE's on the FB?  not the best way to stop an option team...  I don't know much about bethel this year, so I'm assuming that they are still going to run the ball 90% of game on offense, and blitz like crazy out of a 3-4 on defense.  The Ole o-line is very good, and I don't think that they will have many issues with blitzes, and I think that the defense will be ready to stop the run.  The LB's are great for the Oles this year. 
On a side note, it has been pouring rain in northfield the past week and a half, and isn't supposed to stop for another day or two.  Could make for a sloppy game on saturday.

Ha, this Karl Anderson from Gustavus sounds like a real douche bag and must be drinking Wonka's Haterade...

I went to Gustavus and I do admit most of the nicknames are very unoriginal along with the mascots that follow (most using some sort of lion or for St Thomas-a wildcat). As far as St. John's and Gagliardi-a very classless team and as Ryan said, "a figurehead for the program" who does very little other than just stand on the sidelines. Plus, they don't need to hit in practice anyways-its an all men's school.

True 56321, but he likely doesn't have any idea who Gagliardi is and for all he knows Karl might be right on the money. I don't think he should be sabotaged because of the actions of a misguided Gustie. Pat knows how hard they can be to control...

Poor Woody. Strange how his career ended in shame, yet Neil Reed choker Knight continues on, pushing the career victories mark higher and higher.
