Duff, maybe when the priest asked you if there was any reason you couldn't perform sexually for your new bride, you should have said "well, everything worked ok for my first 11 girlfriends."  ;D

Did they explain to you that all decisions within a marriage should be split right down the middle 50:50
It goes like this:
If you agree on something you do it your way.
If you disagree on something you do it her way.

Oh, how the might have fallen.  Here we are, on the eve of Tommie Week, and all the talk is of whether Johnnie fans hate Bethel or St. Olaf more.  For the record, the correct answer is:  #1 - St. Thomas, #2 - Bethel, #3 - St. Olaf (although they have gained ground meidty quickly the last couple years).

It is true we should (and do) loath the Tommies most, but they don't care anymore.  And that makes it tough to enjoy the beating.  I was in Sydney last week and had dinner and drinks the the Tommie (who sucks) that I mentioned once (confirming he sucks) and he had no enthusiasm for USTD.  He concentrates on hoops and baseball because they do all right there.  Football... he has no energy for the conversation.

As trying to argue football isn't important is monstrously lame (even for a Tommie), he focuses on the Vikes (who also, appropriately, suck).  The poor guy just didn't have any spirit left.  I almost felt guilty laying into him.  Kind of like kicking a whelp.  Almost :).

I used to always hate UST the most of any team.  My loathing for Bethel and St. Olaf more than UST is a reflection of how UST has ceased to be relevant in MIAC football the last 5 years.  The last relevant moment UST has had was when they almost beat SJU in Gags record-tying game in 2003.  It's become increasingly hard for me to get worked up for a rivalry that the other team does not seem to even care about.

It's still a great rivalry that will always be special.  The day they become relevant is the day that they move back up (to their rightful spot) on my most-hated list.  I would really like to see that happen.  A good Tommie/Johnnie rivalry is good for both schools and good for the MIAC.

But SJU still needs to play well on Saturday.  We need to finish the season with some momentum.  Go Johnnies.

I bet they leave the field exactly like they did the last time they played at Bethel.  Look it up: both classy and a stomp.  Ouch.

(Good to see all you Bethel supporters popping up.  At least that couldn't be predicted with any accuracy...  ::)).

Are you really referencing the the game two years ago and forgetting what happened last year?????

What Bethel supporters are you talking about?

I'm sure he's referencing the BU students who felt it was necessary to stomp on SJU's midfield logo after the game last year.  I've already expressed my disdain for that and won't repeat myself >:(.

Surprised to hear that the BU support was thought by somebody to be a little lame and small in numbers.  Was it MEA weekend back in MN?  If so, that would have alot to do with it.  The student section for BU is usually pretty loud, but historically alot of them go home for the long weekend.

Atta way Royals, no turnovers in a big game on a sloppy field and no personal fouls in spite of what transpired near the end of the game.  Well played boys!

It's time to start. . .

Spring Break 93 (Pre-Mrs. Ritz days)

Matzatlan--at a club, and a buddy of mine was with his girlfriend (why you'd have your girlfriend along on spring break is beyond me??), and this "lady" walks up and just starts grinding my buddy.  Obviously, his girlfriend is not impressed with the situation, and expresses said displeasure to "lady".  Said "lady" looks over to girlfriend and says, "Relax, honey, once I finish him off, I'll have plenty left to take care of you!!"

I was standing to the side talking to Ryan Davis (TE from USTD), and his line about the "lady" (who happened to be a USTD student) was one I'll always remember...

Well, I survived my "education" this weekend.  Some of what I learned:

#1.  I am a sinner.
#2.  I am a sinner.
#3.  During non-fertile times, the cervix is firm like your chin.  During fertile times, it softens and feels more like the tip of your nose. :o

Thanks for the updates, 67 ;)

Why don't they call it the "Jay Leno/Owen Wilson Method"???

So I was drinking Ellsworth, Wisconsin out of Miller Lite this weekend when we went to some out of the way bar.  I'm sitting at the bar and see this dude wearing a UW-River Falls sweatshirt.  So I ask the dude if he went to the SJU-UWRF game this year.  He said yeah, and then between drinks from his can of Shasta, he went on and on about how much better the WIAC is than the MIAC, how the WIAC teams beat up on each other all year, how middle of the road MIAC schools like Gustavus would be last in the WIAC.  I got bored quickly and since Duffman wasn't around to get him all riled up, I just walked away and played video poker.

Do they teach this at marriage prep. class?

A man and his wife were getting a divorce at a local court, but the custody of their children posed a problem. The mother jumped to her feet and protested to the judge that since she had brought the children into this world, she should retain custody of them.

The man also wanted custody of his children, so the judge asked for his side of the story.  After a long moment of silence, the man rose from his chair and replied, "Judge, when I put a dollar into a vending machine, and a Pepsi comes out, does the Pepsi belong to me, or to the machine?"

He was probably drowning his sorrows on his way back from the Falcon/Blue Devil game where he witnessed the Devils beating his squad on a 52 yard field goal with 45 seconds left 28-27.  ;D
