What are the chances that the Tommies come into Collegeville and Win?

Stranger things have happned, but it's been a long, long time.

This is booooooooooring I though that SJU/USTD was the biggest thing of the year.  this board is dead today  It was looking like there would be some good banter with the lone tommi thowing in some shots, but now the board has gone silent.  come on its almost 10 am CST,  I know that OZ is probaly in bed because its like 11pm there or later.   Also for all of those that would like to purchase a memorable gift:

I was going to counter with a link to SJU's 2003 Perfect Season DVD but it looks like the bookstore finally moved all of their product.  At least our video has a happy ending!

St. Thomas should have a much better record next year. A friend tipped me off to this on the Tommies' web site:

"In 2008 and 2009, the Tommies will play local teams Macalester (first game) and Northwestern (last game) to replace Central and Loras."

I also noted this:

"UST has lost nine in a row to the Johnnies since a 1997 Metrodome win. The Tommies last won in Collegeville in 1986..."

Their SID must've forgotten about 1992.

According to the Johnnies' all-time season-by-season results, that 92 game was at St. Thomas. I vaguely remember watching that game on the old MSC.

Veek

Fins - what's the flavor du jour for tomorrow going to be?  If it's the standard (and I love the standard) don't forget the limes and salt.  They were a great addition.  I hope you are planning to arrive around 8:00 am so Frank's, TDT's, Zip's, JR's, and my thirsts can be quenched bright and early.  Thanks.

GO JOHNNIES!!!!!
Go Johnnies!!!

DuffMan

Veek, I suspect you'll be nicely toasted by the time I arrive ;D

I'm shooting for 9:30-10:00.

Looks like it will be dry but cool and breezy in Collegeville tomorrow.

46 degrees at gametime, but a nippy 33 degrees (with a windchill of 25 :o) when Veek et. al. start the party :o

Redtooth

Fins and Fury,

I can attest to the 92 game being played at CST :-[ :-[

Probably one of the worst SJU performances on record.....one of our TDs was scored by none other than SamWill 47 on special teams :o :o

The win kept their HC Vic Wallace's job safe for a couple years.

In my research this week I found the following USTd Football video that may be of some interest to my fellow SJU posters....some good bulletin board material, especially Ryan Jensen's comments at the 4 minute mark about possibly going to SJU ??? ???  You will also note (if you watch the whole tape) that only two highlights came from games with SJU, both on defense 8) 8)

Who is it all about?

US

Who?

US

Who?

US

Who?

US.......Ok them when it is SJU ;D ;D ;D  Sorta like "Leave No Doubt" only sh1ttier and more self absorbed.

Upon further review, it would appear that the bus in the background during this Q&A session led by Roney was none other than that of the JOHNNIES......probably should have tried that chant with another team.

That is strange because when I go to SJU All-time results by opponent page 11 it shows Oct. 24, 1992
Home   L 12-15. That is probably wrong however since it shows 3 home game in a row from 1991 - 1993.

57,

See my reply above to Fins and Fury....I was on the field that day at CST.
