The NCAA loves the WIAC almost as much as the WIAC loves the WIAC.

Ha!  How dare you cast dispersions on the toughest conference in the universe.

Interesting thing here ... until UWW's recent rise, the league had done little in the postseason for a long time.

Oz: I think I'll let the Mayor Finsleft hit this one outta the park...

Don't know about my tater swing, but I'll try for a bunt single.

Oz-
Have you not been warned about meeting people you met over the internet face-to-face?
But go ahead. After all you have two kidneys and you really only need one.
Your wife sounds like an astute woman. And no, "stranger" is not too strong.

Does long time equal 10 years?  UW-LaCrosse was pretty good through the 90s (two NCAA titles is "all right"), and UWEC lost to Rowan in the semis in 1998.  They struggled from 1999-2004, but had the luxury of facing SJU three times in that time span, and Mount Union and Linfield each once.
SJU Champions 2003 NCAA D3, 1976 NCAA D3, 1965 NAIA, 1963 NAIA; SJU 2nd Place 2000 NCAA D3; SJU MIAC Champions 2018, 2014, 2009, 2008, 2006, 2005, 2003, 2002, 2001, 1999, 1998, 1996, 1995, 1994, 1993, 1991, 1989, 1985, 1982, 1979, 1977, 1976, 1975, 1974, 1971, 1965, 1963, 1962, 1953, 1938, 1936, 1935, 1932

Cripes.  Between you and finsleft I now have the heebie jeebies and visions of a warped psycho wrapped in human skin screaming "You must put Precious in the bucket!"

Ok.  Can of mace, check.  Taser, check.  Combat Sambo training, check.  I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best.

Alright desparate times call for desparate measures.  This is where the President of the Classless A$$hole Club steps up as the Voice of Reason (I know big surprise 8)).  Don't fret Oz, Tmerts is one of the good guys.  I am sure he'll take you out to one of the scores of great restaurants in the Bay Area.  Enjoy your trip stateside.
Chasing MILFs since '82...

Mr.Shoes

As TC is our resident PBR man, I'm sure he'll enjoy this more than most, but as MIACPP is all about the old-school brew everyone here will appreciate it.
Nice day, huh?

I actually did not remember taking that picture Friday night until I was looking through my camera this morning.

Gotta hand it to ya, Frank. I'm sure people all over the world are doing things with their cameras after having a few bevvies on Saturday night.
+K for that special bond between you and your Hamm's. :D

Duffman, keep in mind that the First Lady is a Bethel grad and is on the board of trustees. She loves Bethel. She and the Gov have prior commitments. Remember that Governor Pawlenty did make an appearance last year at the Stiftungsfestivities when the Johnnies were at UST. I would imagine that did help him get re-elected. ;)

Esq.,

You're right. My fault for a major lack of clarity.

The WIAC -- from the '99 expansion to UWW's rise -- was 3-7 in the postseason. Doesn't really qualify as a "long time" when you're as long in tooth as I am :) but meant to stay they'd been somewhat underachievers for a spell.

Referring back to LAB's comments on the OLAF blow out, what is with sports talk determining when enough is enough.  Granted the OLAF case was a little extrodinare and overdone, I'm sick of the Patriots talk.  As much as I don't like Spurrier, I agree with this statement "You coach your team, I'll coach mine."

I don't understand what you're asking/saying.  Please expound and perhaps I can respond, or understand, or...  I don't get fully what you're saying.  Is Nuggs even around anymore, I've been trying to follow his posts.
Out of order, I'll show you out of order! You don't know what out of order is, Mr Task! I'd show you but I'm too old, I'm too tired, and I'm too f----n blind. If I were the man I was 5 years ago, I'd take a FLAMETHROWER to this place. Out of order, who the hell do you think you're talking to?

Having seen both squads play my team, I have to give this weeks nod to the SJU squad.  Wondering, though, from teams that have seen both Augsburg & Hamline, what your guys' thoughts are.  I know everyone is excited by the big matchup this weekend for an AQ, but, I'm kind-a excited by how my squad has progressed this season.  Are there any Piper-insiders here?

Mike LaBore (South St. Paul) from Hamline lead the Pipers last week in tackles - Any relation to Beau of SJU fame?  If so, why is he wearing scarlet and grey and not Cardinal and White?

Not sure, but Beau is from South St. Paul.
