¦ Johnnies senior wide receiver Kyle Gearman and junior defensive end Kevin McNamara, who each exited last Saturday's victory over St. Thomas with bruised ribs, sat out practice Tuesday and Wednesday, but were back on the field Thursday and are expected to play this Saturday. Junior tight end Matt Keating, who left the Tommies' game with a dislocated right thumb, has also practiced all week and will play Saturday as well.

¦ The team practiced indoors inside McNeeley Spectrum on Tuesday and Wednesday, but was out in the cold on the Clemens Stadium turf Thursday.

¦ Monmouth departed for Minnesota on Thursday. Fighting Scots coach Steve Bell, who grew up on the Iron Range in Virginia and graduated from and coached at Bemidji State, said his team planned to travel to Minneapolis, where it will practice today at Augsburg.
