Recently conversation with a Johnnie alum produced the following quote:

QuoteKofoed to Gearman compared to Keating to Elliott is a wash.

How many other Johnnie fans believe that those QB/WR tandems are equal?

OneArmedScot

I agree with what has been said previously.  I was never overly impressed with Keating's skills as a quarterback.  But, in 2003 he always managed to come through with the clutch play.  Koefed is much more gifted skill wise at quarterback.  I think the game winner at Cord did a lot for his confidence.

Blake was one of a kind at the d3 level.  Gearman is a good reciever.  Blake had better hands and was always dangerous with the ball in his hands.  Gearman has made some great catches, but I don't recall him getting lots of yards after the catch.

Not to sound old, but Blake was prob. the best receiver ever at SJU, but "back in the day" the best pair of hands I've ever seen belonged to Danny Grant TE. If you threw the ball anywere in the vacintiy of him, 9/10 he would come down with it. just my 2cents.  GO JOHNNIES!!!!!

You have to give the nod to Keating/Elliot, however if Kofoed/Gearman end up with a championship ring too...it makes the question a little more interesting.

Duff, I thought Gearman was a Sr., does he have another yr. of elig. left????

I can't believe we are even considering putting someone ahead of Jesus.  No offense to Gearman, but he has not done anything that I will tell my grandchildren about (I wasn't at Concordia granted).  To me Blake is like Paul Bunyan.  I acctually heard that Blake carved the Red River Valley dragging his toes after a touchdown.

But anyway....off to the hockey game then to the La.  See you all there.

I really need to get a different job, this one is really cutting into my Post Patterns time >:(

Well, after coming home & having 2 double Johnnie Walker & water (note the game reference for tomorrow, "Johnnie" & Scotch)I read through the postings for today.

No way, no how, ANYONE in he past 10 years or currently is equal or better than Blake Elliott at the WR position in D3! Let's just talk about great play-off games, big games bring out the best in great players. Hardin-Simmons,Steven Point,Lindfield,Mount Union........Stagg Bowl MVP the "Blake" formation. HELLO PEOPLE it isn't even close.

I'm going to have another drink & talk to you tomorrow!

Go Johnnies
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

GRO SAYS, "GET YOUR GAME ON FOOLS!!"
As a former linebacker, Gro know's that playing football is all about reaction... but plenty of vital knowledge can be ubtained before the ball is even snapped. Thats why we watch film and study formations and tendencies.

On gameday in Gro's world he gets real time formation breakdowns (just like the NFL does) from his Playa coaching staff, they usualy sit in VIP or the DJ Booth.

Troy, NY and Collegeville, MN conneted through the stomping of a 1,000 monkey feet. Good luck tomorrow Johnnies

Looks as though I will not be making it to Collegeville this weekend.  Too many other things happening.  Not the least of which is my daughter smashing up one of our cars last night.

56321 will probably not read this before the game.  I am NOT ducking him.  Hopefully I will be in Whitewater next week and we can have the Seniors Division show down.

Everyone please drive safely. :)

Sjusection,
The proper spelling of the National Champions is Linfield  not Lindfield and the only Elliott that matters is taking snaps for Linfield. Get out of the past my man

Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.
