good stuff, good stuff...cobbernation, much love to you my friend...great post...i actually currently live in Moorhead and that is no lie...although I am having a hard time adjusting to the FM area as of late...good people, just a bit different than what I'm used to having lived down in the Twin Cities the last 6 years or so...I work out at Courts Plus approximately once every two weeks, I'm extremely out of shape....one thing to say to Kleppeooeoeonnnshiuosingokj...YOU ARE TERRIBLE....no really, you are a terrible poster, almost as bad as mewithmyrunonsentences...but seriously, you are a 0% out of 100%....stir this you jack a

TWS,

I am sorry you have to live in the FM area.  It's definately not as great as the cities area is.  It was a great 4 years for me at concordia.  Great college area, actually FM should be called Universityville since collegeville is already taken.

Did I not say that Grant Weller of Cobberville would be a good pick for the STAM award?  I thought I did, but wasn't sure he would get it.  Good for him!

Also, did Wetzell edge out Koefed for MIAC MVP when bethel beat SJU in the last week of the season?

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Cheese-

These kids winning awards are millenials.  They were raised in an environment where everyone is awarded a ribbon or medal or trophy just for participating.  Blame society for this development...

Hey Cheese-

First off, wow...SDSU surprised me...and yes, my cell phone is broken, thats why it goes straight to voicemail....Sprint is garbage...secondly, you could be my black kate moss tonight, play secretary on the boss tonight....B)  i agree with you on the all-miac selections, hey why don't we just give every QB a friggin' plaque that reads "i am goody good bar"   4thly, WETZELL FULLY DESERVED THE MVP!!!...this kid is a cross between BRADY QUINN AND TIM TEBOW (i played with him for one year, actually he was hurt that year, but was still money)...he is completely hung...i honestly think, seriously, seriously, seriously, that Bethel has a shot at winning the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP....that's no joke...they are solid...what do you think Cheeser?

Since I am fairly new to this board, can anyone other than TWS give me a bio-sketch of this idiot/genius?  Also, can someone figure out where I live from an email address, because he frightens me very much. :o

TWS is an enigma.

Unless your email address is a dead giveaway (i.e. @minneapolis.com or something like that) there is very little chance that someone can figure out where you are by your email. I see that you're using an @aol.com address, which makes it even harder. Unless someone digs up your AOL account information (I don't know how possible that is), you should be pretty safe.

Someone with a lot of time on their hands could probably find where I'm from by my email address, but it would likely require that I send that person an email from my home computer to do it (I'm assuming you send using AOL's webmail). Even then, I'm not so sure.

So in theory, someone could potentially figure it out. In practice...highly unlikely.
Nice day, huh?

Thanks, that's semi-reassuring, but we're not talking about just "someone" here, we're talking about TWS.  He gives me images of Jack Nicholson in the Shining or Anthony Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs, or Miss Piggy in the Muppet Movie.

fannosaurus rex, any chance we could get Hillary to stop by the Stiftungsfestivities Saturday morning? :P The ultimate dream would be to have her and Paris Hilton both in attendance.

Klopenheimer, have you actually been to the EelPout Festival in Walker? It rocks. Biggest outdoor keg party in Minnesota. Another great option the same weekend is the BockFest in New Ulm. Duffman can vouch for the latter.

Johnnie...I consider Walker a second home for myself.  I am fully aware of how fun the EelPout Festival can be.  I could not take place in the days of drunken men on couches being pulled down the main drag past Reeds but I wish I would have.  Buddies of mine went to Bemidji State so I would head up there around that time.

Oz and you guys talking about poems and court finding are related to football in what way?

Grab a clue.

Hey, IIAC, it is ok to send us your real posters or is this it. :-[

Come on now SJU its all in good fun.  Look on the IIAC board were taling about OZ's day working at Burger King.  And mine at Arby's.  Loosen up the tie.

Nah, he's just disappointed that all the other IIAC supporters have squat to say [over here].

What they're sending so far are a lot of folks who save their money to go to Davenport for the weekend. :D

And what do you save your money for.  Elle Pout days in walker

I hope we can count on you going away at the end of the week.  But since you asked, I save for trips to Napa or Sonoma County (both within 20 minutes).  But I go to Collegeville for fun - and winning football.  But hey, if you can't get to Davenport, you can still get to Cedar Falls. ;)

Now, why was it you came over here?  ???

Wow...Napa and Somoma county sounds like a place in CA where people have there neck ties on to tight.

I actually prefer to vacation in Altoona, IA.  It has a nice race track and I can shower at the local truck stop.  Oh wait they just got table games...There goes my check from Arbys.

I came over here to try and gain some new friends.

Actually Cheese and TWS the awards this year as opposed to the year each of you took home top honors are very comparible.  There were 38 1st teamers each year and three quarterbacks each year and it appears at first glance the 2nd teams are also close in number.  Personally, the best "true quarterback" in the league belonged to the 2nd team.  The amount of talent in the league is tough to distinguish and quite honestly the top four teams could make an argument for every 1st team spot outside of possibly wide receiver where many still could make an argument.

Awards are overrated and are reliant upon various team styles and statistics.  This is why "Team" and "Championships" make the game of football what it is supposed to be and why "fantasy football" has gotten the best of the average fan.  More so than today's culture giving everyone an award, today's era is full of those seeking selfish individual awards.

Yep, that's my take on it. SJU wins & Kofoed is MIAC MVP. To the winner go the spoils. I have no issue with Wetzell taking the award, the kid is a solid player.
