OAS,

My experience shows that when someone says the are "not intimidated by" it means it's in their head and they are for sure intimidated.

Any chance you could change your prediction?  I am intimidated by that.

As long as they are not blue.  Red, however, would be a good choice.

I'm guessing that the reporter asked Tim something to prompt that response. I'm sure that he didn't just pull that out of nowhere and I doubt we're intimidated whatsoever. If you haven't noticed, we have a pretty salty squad ourselves and are finally getting healthy so I don't think Tim is shaking in his Nikes about the Johnnies. What's a Johnnie by the way?

I was there; trust me, he was shaking.  The reporting kept asking about the totally rad Central passing attack and the give-up-yardage-like-a-Hennipen-Ave-professional-giving-out-STD-advice defense, and all the coach could say was "we're not intimidated."  It was like he was fixated or something.

Totally rad haha. By the way it was our QB quoted in the interview, not the coach. I'm sure St. John's tradition was brought up by the reporter and Tim probably came back with that response, and then the usual athlete speak as well... I would say totally sick passing attack, or ill...flat out filthy passing attack. Gnarly aerial assault bro, haha! Man I'm bored at the office

Since both teams where red, will we be able to distinguish the Johnnies' supporters by their blue ears?  Or do they turn blue in December?

You'll be able to tell the Johnnies because they'll be standing wear all the people are smiling and passing around high fives.
OK, so if I miss the blue ears and fargo accent, I'll go with your suggestion...but why would you be cheering for the Dutch?

We'll be the ones taking up about 75% of the seating and capacity of the stadium because there's so many.  We'll be the ones cheering when the people on team in all white run past the people on the team of red and white.   We'll take advantage of our speed and use your own turf against you.  That said, I'm sure Central will be a good team.  Hopefully, they just won't be good enough.

Chewey- are you & Brice going to show up for the Stiftungfestivities or will you be rolling into town about 11:45AM, just in time to stop by the Central College bookstore? TDT needs to know if he should keep a beer & burger ready for you guys.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I'll be impressed if 75% of the crowd are Johnnies, I hope there is a big crowd for both teams and we see an exciting Dutch victory!

I know the Johnnies will bring a lot, they did last year. Central's students are obviously not around so I don't know what to expect but I doubt it will even be close to 50/50....

We're leaving Mpls. at 5 or 6 so we'll be cutting it close.  We're going to try to be there by 10:30 or 11 at the latest so we should be able to get a burger and a beer.  There will be no time for the bookstore though, unfortunately.  It will be a long day of driving but we've done worse (Abilene, TX circa Dec. 2000).  I'm glad my wife's a good sport through all of it.  It would have been nice to take her to St. Norbert (her alma matter) to see the Johnnies play them but beating up on Central instead will have to do.

Chewey/Bryce;  Make it 5 and you may even have time to make your traditional bookstore visit.   8)

I left the cities at 7:50 on Thursday morning and got to Des Moines at 11:15 if that helps you judge time.

Never new (sic) the Johnnies to ask where red.  WTF?
Everyday is payday in paradise.

In Hockey news, sorry Duff, SJU 1 and Plattsburg 1 end of 1st.

apologies in advance to duff (go ahead and post a link to sju wrasslin')

I think the guy might have been in the crease for Plattsburgh's OT winner 4-3 ... but I didn't  have a good look. Nonetheless, Johnnies had chances to win it earlier and didn't finish. Those Eastern teams are pretty good, tho.

sju56321

Repete-agreed-but good game against the #7 team. Maybe SJU will be pretty good this year?

I'll just gloss over your posts.

Eden Prairie laid the smack-down on Cretin tonight!  Very impressive.
