In the interests of accuracy, which this board is all about, Logan Flannery is NOT Scrubby41's grandson. Met Flannery's parents last night. They had never heard of D3football.com.  When I asked them about their fathers, dad said he didn't think his father knew what his grandson was doing. Mom said she didn't think her father knew how to use a computer. Or. it might have been visa versa.  Scrubby's Revenge

Looking for a Bethel win Sat. in Pella. and on to Mt. Union. A loss in Pella will probably be the result of weak pass defense, from what I have seen from my seat in Tacoma. (e.g. Augsburg)

ROR - Was looking forward to seeing you again this Sat. at Bethel. Maybe next year at St. John's. Never been there but have driven by a hundred times.

Um, how do you know she wasn't talking about Scrubby?

Not surprising that his own children are trying to disown him...

But really, he did say repeatedly that his grandkid was from Lakeville, no?  I'm still convinced it's Flannery until we get more conclusive evidence.

TC: he also noted on those repeated posts last year that the grandson was a RB from Lakeville North & they were to play Eden Prairie in the Prep Bowl 2006. I think you're 100% correct in this.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Maybe Scrubby will just post and end the confusion. I know I saw him lurking a couple of weeks ago on this site.

If you do have the misfortune of winning at Pella and then have to go to MUC, how small of a loss to MUC would be required to consider it a "moral victory"  50 points, 60 points, 70 points?

Do I think BU's team is the best in the league, I can't say that, I haven't seen other teams play.  I do know this from what I watched on Saturday; BU has a very good back in Porta, a solid QB and 2 very good receivers, a very athletic offensive line.  The special teams were good at best, good punter,  so-so kickoff guy!!  The defense, solid interior 7, #37 is the real deal!!  Outside LB's as good as I've seen in a long time.  Inside LB's very quick and athletic!  Secondary, wasn't tested much, although had 2/3 picks.  I don't know people, I think BU has a very nice team.  Keep in mind this is coming from a guy that for many years didn't like the football team from down the road on snelling!!  Back then, I'd love to have played them, not so sure now!  Thanks for reading and I'd love to hear back from those that read this!  I'm new this year, so be nice!!

I was ripped on for sharing this 12 weeks ago.  Was told that I hadn't seen enough MIAC football to say that BU was going to be good.  Well, MVP, Lineman of the year, Coach of the year, several 1st team and 2nd team all MIAC players.  Led the MIAC in most defensive stats and very high in most offensive stats.  I know, that doesn't mean anything since they are now done.  Save all the BS and just give credit where credit is due.

With that, I'm done.  I'm going to be rooting for SJU through the playoffs, why, cause they are good!! I'm also going to be rooting for Lakeville South, which has one of the best running backs in the state of MN.  Where he goes is up to him.  In my opinion, he will be at BU!  He loved his visit with John and his team.  He just seems to be a better fit for BU.  But then again, these last few weeks have brought a whole new bunch of letters his way.  Who knows, only time will tell.  God Bless and again, just an old man without a wife who has allowed this site to help ease the pain.  For those that know what I'm refering too, thanks for your support, you've been kind and have helped along the way.  Bye

Check the dates of the posts above...The above may not offer conclusive evidence, but it points in that direction.  From my conversation with the parents last night, neither grandfather fits the above.  Conclusive evidence will be offered on this board this Sunday after I talk with the parents again in Pella.

If Scrubby41 is Flannery's grandfather, why isn't he all over this board this year?

Ha Freebird go away.  You don't "rile" Duffman and I up.  Simply put, you are an idiot and we call you to the carpet.  If you are trying to compare 03 SJU to 07 Bethel you need some medication.  That could be the biggest joke I have ever seen.  Bethel/Central will get absolutely destroyed by MUCk in Alliance.  Quote me on that.  Fact.  No discussion.  The talent level isn't close.  Thanks for playing.

The inferiority complex that Bethel has for St. John's is amazing.  I guess it doesn't surprise me.  Johnnies do piss excellence.

Let's see, his grandson was a standout runningback for Lakeville South last year.

2006 Logan Flannery RB Lakeville South 225 rushes/1233 yards.

Sounds like a match to me. ::)

A tradition unrivaled...

You sound a little "riled" up right now.  Take a deep breath and count to ten.

You may piss excellence but you sure seem to take a dump when playing Bethel  :o

I'm not comparing the 03 team to the 07 just making the point that sometimes teams win when the odds are stacked against them, even against MUC.

Regardless of what happens against MUC, at least they (Bethel or Central) will still be playing, right?  I'd rather be playing than sitting at home and trying to fill space on a small schools football website for the next 8 months or so.

While sitting in the rain in Alliance in '93, I learned what a double monkeystomp+ felt like for the first time in my life.

So I have to admit sitting there im Salem in '03 I was a bit nervous at first (like going to a dentist the second time in your life), but then started to feel a bit better as we held on and it looked like if we lost, at least it wasn't going to be that bad, and then actual hope as I realized that we could, in fact play with these guys, to out and out orgasm when it became apparent we were going to wup em to retribution when I saw MUC fans leaving the game early.

You are going to relive the '93 part of this experience, and sadly are not likely to ever live the '03 experience.

So. KC you play for the Dutch? Otherwise, you are a fan sitting in the stands watching Central play. I guess it all depends on your expectations for the team, if the zenith is to reach the semi-finals and lose, great-but in the end, both SJU and Central fans will be sitting on their a** in their living rooms on December 15th-same result.

I guess you can look at it as a rite of passage or the equivalent of water-boarding, but I wouldn't call it playing.  Unless you called it playing when you were a little kid in your sandbox and the neighborhood bully came over, punched you in the gut, stomped on your prone body and then dumped a bucket of sand on your head.

The difference is Central/Bethel has a chance to be playing on the 15th.  Saint Johns University for men?  Not so much.

Yes, I'm a FAN.  Actually, during the SJU game I was STANDING and cheering....not sitting on my hands like the SJU fans!
