Anyone know if the game is on the radio in the Cities?  I don't want to sit in front of the computer, but I'd like to listen.

A tradition unrivaled...

I remember not taking the effort in 2003 to go the 200 miles to Salem, and just hoping my Johnnies would not be embarrassed. We all remember what happened that day. Good luck Bethel, represent yourselves, your school, the MIAC and the West well.

Game day!
Section 12, Row N, Seat 4
Go Royals!

Are you there already?  Or, can you actually get reserved seats ahead of time?  (for future reference). ;D

For future reference, all seats at Mount Union are reserved.   :)

Getting ready to head out to the brunch and game.

MUC respects Bethel and has worked extremely hard in practice this week (especially kickoff coverage ;D). Every team should do what they do best and for Bethel that is run the ball and control the clock. I think it will take a perfect effort on Bethel's part and a subpar effort from Mount for Bethel to win but that's' why we play the games. This year alone, college football is littered with heavily favored teams getting their lunch handed to them. It's what makes the games so much fun. All the banter here just that, games are won or lost by the efforts of committed young men on Saturdays such as this one.

Chip Scoggins reports this morning from the STrib that MUC lists 17 players from Florida.... I now have a new understanding for MUC football.

Dusty-- Had Scoggins done a little additional research he would have realized that with the exception of Garcon most of the Florida players at Mount are on the sidelines watching.  Doing a quick stat review, I would guess that less than 5 or 6 of them are on the playoff roster.....much ado about nothing.  Just like John wins with Minnesota kids, Larry wins with Ohio and PA kids.

It's -11*F in central Minnesota currently. It would be nice to be hosting a National Semi-Final game with a South Region team today, but maybe next year ;D

I remember in 2002 when Duffman & crew hosted Coe in a 2nd Round game it wa +17*F and the windchill brought it to Zero.

Best of luck to everyone today. Injury free and looking forward to a great Stagg Bowl.

Please, who ever wins the semi-final games today, don't pull a Hampton tonight ;)

105,

A couple quick notes about that Coe game.....the game temp was much warmer than the night before when a technician from SprinTurf and I were out on the field at midnight reglueing some of the turf seams.  The field was great the next day.......would have been a parking lot with the old grass.  Coe's HC was Larry Kehres' nephew.  Coe had the IIAC MVP in the backfield that day.......Let's just say that he gained more yards last weekend against the Redskins than he did against the Johnnie D that day  ;D ;D

MUC must be taking the St. Olaf approach to football.  I don't know exactly how many kids from Florida troll Miedt had on his team, but I think it was quite a few.

So far I've seen two guys faster than anyone in the MIAC.  Might now want to try going laterally much.
