Just found this photo with the caption, "If looks could kill, Russian Interior Ministry shock troops":

bennie, some day I'll have to get the story of how you became a Jackets fan.  They have some nice players, and look like they are playing together as a team. We'll see what happens in the end. I can only really follow one team in the East (Caps) and one in the West (Wild). I have a son who likes a number of teams, both in hockey and NFL. He also follows players as well as teams.

I'm heartened to see that DF2004, has joined Klop as a regular here, while not defecting from their IIAC roots. Welcome. The more the merrier.

Hey I have been on this board since last year.  I may not have been posting much but since meeting the MIAC PP at the game last year it is nice to keep in touch.  The Johnnie posters love their team and that is to be respected.  ( you guys are pretty good people too)  (oh bennie you are good people too)

Duffman, if you use the method of contraception they taught you at that retreat you went to, it could be a lot sooner than two years out. ;D

If I used that method, I'd have a brood like Dusty already!

Ha!  I'm sure every married Catholic has this same story, but the wife-to-be and I were quite amused during marriage classes when the natural birth control couple said with a straight face that they wanted and planned for every one of their seven children.

We just sold the old Fins family homestead of 50 years to a couple with 9 kids and one on the way. A mutual acquaintance told me they want to have 12.  :o Plus they home-school.

Their house would be a decent size school district in North Dakota.  ;D

My parents had neighbors 5 or so years ago who had 8 children and then decided to adopt a 8 more (at once!) to bring the total to 16 kids.  They were on Good Morning America several years ago.  Needless to say, their house was a disaster.  And they home-schooled as well.

I hope I didn't sound insensitive to large families in my previous post.  I love kids.  All kids.  Particularly our third one, currently a two-year-old girl that I'm listening to as she fights with my second kid, a five-year-old girl, over who gets to use the tea-towel first as they wipe their faces while sitting at the counter eating breakfast.

So, bigger the family the better.  My wife and I considered having four, but then decided we owed it to the three we currently have to stay out of the jail-house.  It's likely that one more would have pushed us to infanticide and that would have been that for the Olson family in Oz.

A guy gets one thing right in his whole life, and you never hear the end of it. (just kidding) By the way, I thought you did a really good job on the broadcast.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Wow those 16 came in handy at tax time.  All the child credits.   ;D

Was just remembering the time, many years ago, when I was sitting with my client at her deposition taken by a young, bright city-slicker lawyer from "the cities". My client and her husband were good, Catholic, Morrison County farmers and when she said "Fourteen" in response to the question "How many children do you have?" the lawyer audibly gasped. Without missing a beat, my client added, "Yeah, and I wouldn't take a million dollars for any of 'em, but I wouldn't pay a nickel for one more."
