Congratulations to UWW for their first national championship and on making the third time the charm.  They deserve all the recognition as they have just defeated Mt. Union's greatest team ever (didn't we hear that in 2000 and again in 2003?).

It just goes to show-- the West is best!

Wow, I'm shocked.  Mount Union did not look impressive at all (and they graduate everyone but Kmic!).  Congrats to UW-W.  They certainly didn't look like they were capable of this type of performance against St. Cloud State.

I think I saw at least 3. 

What are the rules on PFs when they occur on scores?  Do you have to take it on the EP?  At times it seems you have the choice of taking the penalty on the kick-off (or am I thinking of PFs that occur on extra-points?)

The QB's also back for Mount. Somehow I think they'll be okay.

Earlier in the week, someone from Mount told me that St. John's and Rowan beat Mount the fourth time they faced them. That's why she was nervous last year, but this year was actually the fifth meeting (a couple of regular season games). Maybe it takes teams facing Mount two or three times to get over the initial intimidation factor and then they have a much better shot.

perhaps St. John's wasn't so far away from Mount as a score comparison might suggest.  Bethel got some bad breaks early in the game and couldn't recover.

Wow.  I must admit that I was one of the doom sayers who said UWW would get waxed about whom the UWW coach spoke before the game.  If I would have been a betting sort of guy, I would have bet the farm on MUC.  I did not think anyone would take down this year's MUC team but I am glad to see someone other than MUC as national champs.  Regardless of the players MUC graduate, they'll be just fine for sure.  They have LK.
