fins, do what I do. Turn down the sound and throw in a little something on the CD player like Pink Floyd.  ;)

And I'm just as curious as to why NOBODY talked about it.  Not the announcers, not the ninetyfour analysts after the game, not the ESPN hosts, no one.

I think it is safe to say that all involved---announcers, analysts, hosts---wanted to get the hell out of the Dome last night and say as little about the game as possible.......That game was dreadful to watch.  I even allowed my wife to turn on her Young and the Restless DVR :P :P instead of being forced to watch anymore.  Please know that I am half joking in saying the QBs in the Stagg Bowl on Saturday were better and had far superior mechanics to the whale $hit QBs that the Vikes and Bears played with last night.......we need a QB expert like Zip in Chicago to breakdown those two  8) 8)

No doubt.  I don't expect Tirico or Kornheiser to say anything intelligent about the game, however, with SalPal, Steve Young and Emmmmmmittttttt Smith hanging around for like an hour afterward, one would think it would've come up.  The latter was too busy offering to offer Adrian Peterson advice on how to be the all-time leading rusher. Crap.

The poll on the cover of D3 needs your help.......with all due respect to Beaver's performance on Saturday, it pales in comparison to Blake Elliott in 03......bad hamstring against a team that had not lost in 55 games....makes several great catches (including the blown call in the end zone that would have put the Monkey Stomp on)....lines up in the backfield as a RB and has one of the greatest runs in D3 history and rushes for over 100 yards......I realize we remember what is most recent in our brain, but nothing listed comes close to Blake's performance.  FIGHT REVISIONIST HISTORY!!!!

Tooth,

I couldn't agree with you more.  Just add to the list that Elliott wasn't putting the ball on the carpet either (2 Beaver fumbles).  Beaver had a MONSTER game but the football gods were smiling on him when he fumbled it in the end zone.  That could have been disaster for UWW.

In my humble opinion I would have 1) SJU Elliott  2) MUC Moore 3) Beaver

Tmerts. You now need aPassport to go to TJ. But I guess the $50 "Rolex" makes it worth while.

I always went further south of TJ - Rosarita Beach for abalone and shooters, and Ensenada for an afternoon at Hussong's Cantina, where the margarita was invented.  Si-Ole!
Some great places to have delicious lobster, too, with buckets of beer.
Leave it to Johan Hussong, a German, to make the margarita famous!

Good advice, BDB! I kinda wanted to hear what they had to say, but I learned my lesson.

After considering all choices, I voted for B Elliott, before being prompted to do so, because of all the aforementioned reasons listed by the wise 'Tooth.

Bennie - They have been playing quite well lately, and I'm sure that deep down, if you asked brfore the game, they would have been happy with a point. That said, I'm really getting down on "Olie the Goalie". He's getting old, and lets in at least one soft one every game. He's getting slow to recover, and didn't even move on the first goal, and the pass across wasn't all that crisp. In the shootout, not wanting to take away from the sick moves of Zetterburg, Hudler and Datsyuk, he really didn't put up much of a struggle. Semin is finally starting to get his touch back, which could bode very well.

Mike Tirico mentioned as it happened that Chicago was not taking its final timeout.

BDB, which floyd album would you recommend for MNF?  BTW, saw Roger Waters last summer and Australian Pink Floyd two years ago, and both were outstanding. ;D

Found indisputable photo evidence that "the Beaver" had little to do with the TD push....

There is a great photo posted on the OAC Board by Frank Rossi of Vince and the flag......I would copy and post here, but Frank should receive the credit for the find.  Check out the height of the flag in the sequence of photos 8) 8)

I would recommend Saucer Full of Secrets.
