OZ: Were you in attendance at that terrible looking bike accident at the VeloDrome in Melbourne the other day?  Holy ish.  That was pretty wicked looking.  They've been showing it on the news here stateside.  TDT is attempting to locate the video on Youtube as we speak...

Just an FYI: I prefer -K.  Thank you very much.

Merry Christmas, K.  Thanks for working to keep my family safe so we can enjoy a safe and happy Christmas.  I'm sorry (as I assume) you'll be away from your family for the holiday.  We wish you the best of luck and pray you stay safe.

I wasn't there, but the quote from an article in the Herald Sun (an original holding in the Murdoch empire) is classic:

"The big prang, which saw young riders flying through the air, was a bonus for the spectators, if that's not putting it too unsympathetically."

Ask and you shall receive.  I present you with "young riders flying through the air" courtesy of YouTube.

And I will +K to the past few pages as well, some I will have to K up later once the 24 hour rule is up.  Merry Christmas all.

What does "prang" mean in Australia?  Something different than the UK, I reckon.

I'll be working Monday--it's the end of the month, afterall.  If I hit it hard enough on Christmas Eve, I should be able to take Thursday and Friday off.  Then again, I spent all day at the office today trying to figure out if Peter Gabriel's "Solsbury Hill" is the greatest song ever written.  Oh well, at least I have Tuesday off.

A prang tends to be a small dent in your car.  A bit bigger than a ding.  Smaller than a full on dent.  I haven't heard it used in the 'flaked out on coke' sense.  At least not yet, but then I hang in such hip circles...

BTW, I watched about the first 10 seconds of that video, up until the dude was ?drowning? in the bathtub full of brown water.  WTH with the brown water?  I assume the guy has sphincter issues.  Pop culture is going to hell in a hand basket.
