mileage points are a wonderful thing so....what the hell,

They are not so wonderful if they are on THIS airline.

I believe that airline has about 60% of the flights in and out of MSP; but Untied Airlines is catching up fast (you want to check a second bag?).

The Pro Bowl is fun but more of an event than a football game.  Hawaii is always great but Waikiki is like Hollywood Blvd with a beautiful beach.  Maui no ka oi''.

Nice article on the former Macalester coach (who happens to be the new UST coach) in the Strib today.
I love that quote in the last paragraph:

Caruso might like coaching and football enough to maintain a high opinion of Gagliardi even if John runs up the score on him. "Although I respect my chemistry teachers and Miss Pagano, who was my Algebra 2 teacher, you know how many times in my life I've used a quadratic equation?" Caruso said. "But the lessons I learned in football I still apply every day, and those are lessons I learned in a completely different school, from 4 to 6 p.m., from my football coaches.

Good luck, Coach C.

Of course he doesn't use quadratic equations ... he's a football coach.  Lawyers like Fins, on the other hand, constantly have figures in their heads.

Yeah, I have figures in my head alright, but they're not numbers. Unless, of course, a 6 and a 9 are involved. 8)

Hey Kubiak. Have you ever heard the Brian Regan bit called "I walked on the Moon"?  ;)

Dennis Miller, my sons and I think he's the funniest guy in America, by the way.

Waikiki is probably the most beautiful place I have ever seen (with the obvious exception of the Natural Bowl at 1PM on a Saturday in the Fall!).

Beautiful beaches, beautiful bevy's, and beautiful beaches (the other kind)!

Mrs KR and I will be heading to San Diego to look for housing for next year and then on to Waikiki for our graduation present to ourselves! We figured that 7 combined years of grad school (3 for her and 4 for me) earned us 7 days on the beach!

It's a helluva lot cheaper to stay on Waikiki when you're in the military and can stay at the Hale Koa (military and DOD employees only) for $134 a night for a full Ocean View!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

SUMMIT!!!!!

I know I'm late with this, as the hockey nuts on here have probably read/seen all about this...it traumatized me, though:

That's my new favorite comic.

THE AMISH ELEVATOR
An Amish boy and his father were in a shopping mall. They were amazed by almost everything they saw, but especially by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and then slide back together again.

The boy asked, "What is this Father?" The father (never having seen an elevator) responded, "Son, I have never seen anything like this in my life, I don't know what it is."

While the boy and his father were watching with amazement, a fat old lady in a wheel chair moved up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened and the lady rolled between them into a small room. The walls closed and the boy and his father watched the small circular numbers above the walls light up sequentially. They continued to watch until it reached the last number and then the numbers began to light in the reverse order. Finally the walls opened up again and a gorgeous 24-year-old blonde stepped out.

The father said quietly to his son...
"Go get your mother."

Yes, that was a nasty injury.

One of our Pee Wee A kids got his leg broke in 2 places right before our Squirt team arrived in Onalaska on Saturday.

Delayed that game of course, and therefore the next game and then our game by over an hour.

Sh$t happens I guess.

PS: We didn't qualify for State.  :-\

So, it's on with the rest of the regular season.  8)
