I just want to congratulate the Fighting Scots on a season that no one can take from them!!  You did what non of us previous Scots could do, and I'm glad you reached the goal that was set before you.  You have nothing to be ashamed about.  I hope that you have learned from the classes before you to always, no matter what, keep your heads high!!

Cookoff - I was told that the best hamburgers were cooked by the SJU fans at the tailgating.  WRONG!!!  I had a cheeseburger from the SJU tailgating, which I will say was delicious, but then I had a cheeseburger from Mr. Blaesing!!!

Collegeville was a nice place.  SJU fans you treated us well on most occasions.  Tailgating was a blast, except your security boys.....come on, you are a wet campus and they still dont let you walk around with beer?  I thought they were just going to card people, which I believe is what they should have done, but thats me.

The one thing that showed the class of the SJU students, was when one of our players took a knee to the back of his head and went into convoltions.  A fan decided to talk **** while he was laying there knocked out.  I dont think it was any of the SJU posters, but you have to agree with me when that happened.  As former football players, it is called respect!

I want to wish D-Mo a fast and healthy recovery from the hit he took Saturday.

It was nice meeting the fellow posters, and I'm sorry I didnt bring the ROUSH!!!

SJU you have a very nice team.  Your D-line is amazing.  I wish you the best of luck on your way to where ever your players take you.
Excuse me if my wealth got me full of myself, Cocky, something that I just can't help

There are certainly a few bad apples in the bunch.  I know that 1/4000 can make everyone look bad and I felt horrible when I heard the words that were exchanged.  You are correct, totally classless.  Please don't think that incident was indicative of the classiness of the student body in general.

Veek, Finsleft and Mr./Ms. 56321, thanks so much for all the help at the Stiftungsfestivities yesterday. Great event and enjoyed having the Monmouth fans join us. Thanks to everyone who made a donation, also.

Should we have a Stiftungsfestivities at Whitewater? I am supposed to hand out trophies/medals at the Becker-Albany game this coming Friday. Game should be done by 6:00 p.m. Could start the trip after that and stay in some exotic place like Madison. As Dusty would say, developing....

JR,

Big affirmative on the Stiftungsfestivities.  I am planning on overnighting in Madison.  Courtyard right off I-90/94.  WW bright and early to make sure we get good seats.   8)

JR, I'm in for some tailgating.  I'm going to leave dark and early Saturday morning.

Congrats and good luck to Wooderson and the Albany Huskies!  Beat those Bulldogs!

So you are saying that Hamline could have beaten Mon. too ?  I saw the SJU vs Hamline game and it may have been that SJU played that well but Hamline wasn't a good team.  Bethel wasn't that good either. Monmouth was undefeated entering this game , they may have been in a weak conference, so they must be a decent team. They just had a very poor showing against a very strong team yesterday.

Hey Duffman, I read that one of the johnnies broke his ankle and two others are banged up pretty good how instrumental to the Off/Def are these guys and will they be ready for Sat?

miacwatchmen

Duffman i saw you guys partying before the game yesterday !!!! My dad said he was very impressed with your partying..... he also said that if he wasn't so old he would love to join you.  Are you making the trip to pre-game next week??

AnotherJohnnie, agreed. The question I heard most in the second half yesterday was "does anyone know how the Monmouth kid is doing?" The concern amongst the SJU faithful was genuine and sincere. I didn't hear what the bad apple said, but I will apologize for his actions. Completely uncalled for given the cimcumstance, timing, and immediate concern for the fallen player.

Kubiack78, SJU lost a starting guard in Brian Mathiasen (broken ankle) he is a senior. Brian has started since his soph year (2003 championship)....he will be missed.

Jason Good (a starting DL and pre-season all-american) will have a cast on his injured hand, but is likely a go for saturday.

Johnnie

hey Cobber Nation,

how about that win by Montana State over those pesky Griz yesterday? Now on to the playoffs for MSU (hopefully)

Good luck in Oregon.

Go Cobbers.  Go Johnnies

the Johnnie

PS...let me know if you need a place to crash in Montana, I have a few IOUs left in the Bozeman area....gotta good Lutheran family that would love to provide a little hospitality to some Cobbers....

DuffMan

Kubiak,
Sounds like a starting guard is done.  That sucks.  I don't know who will replace him.  I've been out just long enough that I don't know too many players anymore.  Zauhar (CB) looks to be okay,  I talked to him after the game.  Good (DL) looks to have a fractured or sparined wrist and I think he'll be playing with a cast on.  I don't know about Gearman.  I hope he's fine.  We're a little banged up, but who isn't at this time of year.  We'll be fine.

Watchmen,
Do we know each other?  Drop me an e-mail.  I'll be there early Saturday morning.

Johnnie--Cats played pretty well yesterday.  Their defense was outstanding, way better than Monmouth's JV team they brought to Collegeville.  Sounds like the Griz had trouble getting things going.  Oh well I am sure they will get an at large bid into the playoffs...hopefully.

Thanks for the invite to stay at your buddies place in boztown, but my parents live in MT so I am good.  I plan on leaving on Tues, so I can go elk hunting Wed and Thurs, then leave friday for linny.

GO COBBERS!  BEAT THE CATS!

GO JOHNNIES!

Johnnie Red

Cobbernation, enjoy the trip to Linfield. If you have time, you should take in the wineries in the Willamette Valley (between Portland and McMinnville) and then hit the Elks Club in downtown McMinnville Friday night.

I would strongly recommend to the Cobber fans that you make the trip to McMinnville if possible. Oregon is beautiful and the CatDome is a great place to watch college football. Add to that the fact that you are an MIAC team and you are going to come home with a win and play for the West Region championship in Collegeville on December 3. Phone it in and leave no doubt whatsoever. :D

I have heard that someone is waking him up every hour...during the game I know he had a severe stinger and an acute concussion.

Thanks for the hospitality SJU

My opinion is that Sid is a front runner & won't give D3 a second thought until a team wins it all, then he may put a blurb in. Sid also has most of his column done by an assistant. Most of his time is spent hob-knobbing with the "who's-who"
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!
