My guess is that the Smite Knight is from the WIAC board. Those guys have such thin skins. I was over there trying to make a case that "The Beav" would probably not be drafted due to his size, and lamenting that fact, and the mindset throughout sports that values size over whether one can play the game, and has shown that he can play the game at every level at which he has competed. I used hockey as a reference for this same mindset. I was chided for comparing hockey players to football players, which I didn't actually do, but which also must be a hanging offense in their minds. I responded with a shot about cheeseheads not being able to master the myriad of skills it takes to play hockey, and got smote for a loop. I like cheese, but I'm willing to bet that if it's the wrong kind, they would be all constipated about it. It won't stop me from giving the needle. It's too much fun.

I've got a video somewhere at my parents house with the tight (end zone) view of me dislocating my elbow trying to catch myself after slipping while making a cutback in the '02 season vs. St. Thomas.  It is one of the most disgusting, yet captivating things I've seen.  You basically see my forearm bend like it normally would, just backwords instead, quite qruesome.  It's too bad too as it would have been a nice run as the LB's overpursued.

Don't sweat it. When you've been gesmoten just think how much happier you are than an SS who is so insecure all he can do is try to take it out on somebody else in such a trivial way.  8)

That is very enlightening. Here I would've had the past tense as "smat" and the pluperfect as "had smited'.
