retagent

After a short absence caused by some sort of technological SNAFU, I'm back, thanks to the intervention of PC. He's not called The Guru fo nothing.

ROR, I may be the last in the long line, but I hope you do abide. You may be the only one of your ilk I would consider casting a ballot for ;)

flash, I think I still have some contacts if you're job hunting, FYI -  I think they added another letter (for Explosives, making it even more fun) so it's the ATF&E.

Go Caps.

For ROR's sake, I hope his nurses look more like this.  8)

Avalanche Amber Ale

That must be what happened to the Canucks last night! Too much Avalanche Amber Ale! ;) ;D

Good game for the Caps last night too!
High sticking, tripping, slashing, spearing, charging, hooking, fighting, unsportsmanlike conduct, interference, roughing... everything else is just figure skating.  ~Author Unknown

tmerton....gee thanks, I think.  When I was in law school and passed the bar, computer skills were not a prerequisite to practicing law.  Thank God, or I would be brewing Hamm's for a living, on second thought.............

I actually had a judge want to sanction me because I protested about emailing jury instructions to him.  At the time, didnt have a scanner and the instructions were almost 80 pages long.   The nerve of the dirty old bastard.

Never know what Avs team will be skating.  :-\
BTW: Foppa has been back for 15 games - the Avs are 7 - 1 when he has skated and 2- 4- 1 when he hasn't.  ::)

Sorry to interrupt the other discussion but any thoughts on this?  There will be a major change in Olaf...

Not much of a pedigree from what I can tell.  Must be pretty obscure because OleFan didn't even know anything about him. ???

If I get a nurse that looks like that I may have a few more undiagnosed medical issues that will keep me here a while longer.

ROR, who is your running mate going to be, Sidd Finch? (Sports Illustrated, 1 April 1985)

After much consideration and time in the reflection room, I have decided to honor ROR's request and be his running mate for the 2008 Presidential election. Initially I was very nervous until ROR clarified that he wanted help with his eLection with an L.

As ROR's VP candidate, I will lobby hard for campaign finance reform, the Twins to be on TV in Iowa, to make Hamm's the National beer and to make Post Patterns the site of all future political debates, this way we will never have to miss My Name Is Earl or the Office because 2 talking heads are debating promises they have no intention of keeping.

Thank you for your votes. Remember, vote early, vote often and intimidate intimidate intimidate!

KR I think you would make a great VP but I think that you are to young at the present time.  Maybe more learned people on here can attest to this.  Since you are not old enough to be president you can not be VP.  So for the bad news.

What in the world is all this running for President in 2008?  ???
I didn't realize TDT was term limited.  :D
Truly he is in a classless by himself.  :P

I would have to question anyone whose judgement led him to hang those two monickers on his kids. Jersey? Is that after the state or after the athletic apparel? Jett? with two T's? If it's after Joan, I might give him a pass. Otherwise, it's cruel and unusual punishment. May I get a ruling from the judge?

bennie - Which feed of the Caps/Canes did you watch? I thought the Caps announcers went out of the way to sympathize with Laviolette(?) when he burst a blood vessel. If you watched the Carolina feed, what was their take? I thought it could have gone another way, but I don't think giving matching minors was all that terrible a call. After seeing the Caps get jobbed repeatedly, maybe they're due some favorable breaks. If you want to question a call, I thought Semin's "hooking" was pretty cheap. I think they need to do something about all the hooking calls in general. You should, at the very least, have to have a minimal effect on the "hookee." Just touching a guy's gloves doesn't constitute hooking by any definition I'm familiar with.

Would he be the only coach in the MIAC that is an ex-CEO?

Aren't there Jersey cows also?

Jett is his son, hope he's not named after Joan.  Maybe they call him a Jettson.

OleFan when will you be filing a report on this guy?

Johnnie Red

retagent, I wouldn't call it cruel and unusual punishment. It is a different era when it comes to first names. I always enjoyed listening to Patrick Reusse and Joe Soucheray on Sports Talk on 1500 AM Saturday morning during the girls' state high school basketball tournament. They would go over the first names of the players on the air to let the listeners know how "far out" some of the names were. The Ole and Lena days are a thing of the past. ;)
