Is this your team?

We'd take those yahoos downtown.  :D

Not too much older though.

So what is the chance that I am driving down the road in Shakopee today and see our favorite MUC(k) poster crossing the street? I must be living right. ;)

Did you hit the gas, or the brakes?

OK, so here's a hockey link with an SJU and St. Cloud connection. On the clip, former SCSU player Jeff Finger's stick flies out of his hands into the crowd. You can't see it on the clip, but the stick flies right into my buddy's hands-he's an SJP and SJU grad and owner of the world-famous Red Carpet in downtown St. Cloud.

Just in:

Members of the CSB and SJU communities are invited to a Jon Hassler memorial celebration from 3:30-4:45 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, in the Saint John's Abbey Church. The celebration will include readings, poetry, music and remembrances. A reception will follow in the Great Hall.

Hassler, Regents Professor Emeritus of Fiction, passed away on March 20. Hassler graduated from Saint John's University in 1955 and was appointed writer-in-residence in 1980 until his retirement in 1997. He was a nationally respected author of novels, plays and nonfiction.

Too early to leave work, but don't feel like doing anything else today?

Try this.

I'm up to 7 in a row.

If memory serves, they did have the DIII Hockey Championship game on ESPNU or CBSC (CBS College Sports, which was College Sports Network - at least on DirecTV.)

Here's a 30 second clip from the Hawks' victory over the Adelaide Crows on the weekend.  It features Hawthorn's budding Brownlow Medalist (League MVP), Luke Hodge.  Hodge is Mr Workhorse/Playmaker/Hardnose for the Hawks.  In this video he makes a mis-play and then works overtime to reverse the flow of play from his mistake and deliver the ball to the Hawthorn goal kicking superstar Lance "Buddy" Franklin.

Go the Hawks!

I was tempted to make a smart a$$ comment about this, decided it would be inappropriate.

Personality disorder threatened Walker's life

I wish he weren't using it to sell a book. >:(

Ok, can't resist.  How many sit ups did Hershcel Walker claim Herschcel Walker did each day?

My vote is to kill the poll at the top of the page.   :)

The Wild are getting jobbed by the refs in this series.

It's tax day!  :P

Not a deduction: Money you gave to a stripper named Charity.  ;D

I just couldn't bring myself to watch the Wild OT. If they lost, I was afraid I'd be so PO'd that I couldn't sleep. Good to hear they prevailed. It also looks like Simon has gotten his skating back. For a while, he looked too much like me. When he was with the Caps, he displayed some good hands, and the ability to get off a nasty wrister, resulting in some scoring prowess. Let's hope that also returns. He has gotten some chances in front of the net, especially on the PP, but can't seem to put it away.

Would Peg Gagliardi use the term "awesome"?

A writer for the KC Star is campaigning for sports broadcaster Pam Ward (who did the play by play for the 2003 Stagg Bowl) to do NFL games.  And it seems he's picked up some critical support - Peg Gagliardi.

I still have a hard time believing the word "awesome" gets used much in the Gagliardi household.  Peg must be hanging out at CSB.
