Sept. 6 East Texas Baptist
Sept. 13 Wis.-River Falls
Sept. 20 Concordia-Moorhead
Sept. 27 Gustavus Adolphus (Homecoming)
Oct. 4 at Bethel - Arden Hills
Oct. 11 Hamline (Family Weekend)
Oct. 18 at St. Thomas - St. Paul
Oct. 25 at St. Olaf - Northfield
Nov. 8 Augsburg
Nov. 15 at Carleton - Northfield

The two big home games, obviously, will be C-M and GAC.  Other than that, it looks to be quite a yawner of a home schedule--Augsburg on Nov. 8th?  Yuck.  Seeing someone new in East Texas Baptist will be decent, but there's the weird start time.  Playing UW-River Falls is starting to get old.  Hamline will be an afterthought between @Bethel and @St. Thomas.

Like you mentioned, the big games will be the October road dates at Bethel, the Tommies and Olaf.  It's strange that the home schedule is so front-heavy--having the first four games of the year at home should ensure decent weather and huge crowds.  If the two later home dates were against anyone but Augsburg and Hamline, the Johnnies would be looking at record-setting attendance numbers this year--could you imagine if AUG and HAM were replaced by BU and UST?

Good Luck KR,  I wish you would have been around 15 years ago.  My ENT had the personality of a brick.  Not a real lively kind of beside manner.  Don't change your personality I think it will serve you well!

I am having a struggle today. Seems I have picked up that part of the flu virus that commands many trips to the throne.  :P

As I spent an elongated lunch break at home doing time, the septic truck guy was there pumping out our holding tank.

I think for awhile it was a draw.  :D

Apparently playing dead is your best bet if a grizzly gets the jump on you (though he still may chew on your brain a little).  But what if the bear is hungry? ???

I just had a funny moment at work. The background picture on my computer screen is the Johnnies taking the field for a home game. I had a student in my office and was writing out a "to do" list for him.  While I am doing this, the student is looking at my computer screen.

Student: Hey, those aren't the Ducks!

Bennie: You're right, they're not ... they have actually won a National Championship!

Bwaahaahaa! I did then tell him who they were.  ;D

Imagine walking in the door and seeing your teenage son doing this.  I think it would require a little chat.

As long as we're posting a couple notes about football...

Has anyone heard anything about the spring training sessions beyond the usual "guys just getting use to stuff" fair?  I guess it's a stupid question to an extent because there really isn't much to learn, but I don't think our QB will be coming in this fall so I was hoping it my have become known to those in the know who has made the short list for starter.  And those in the know may not want to say anything here, but I am very curious.

A lot of busy agendas lately on MIACPP:

  • Duff getting married and thinking he'll fish when he wants to.
  • My cousin Dr. KR thinking messing up a chore will convince a spouse to do it.
  • BDB getting his money's worth sitting on the crapper while the pumper is there.

I just came from a funeral of a colleague who died suddenly at the age of 63 from a brain anuerism while at his cabin. Just retired not too long ago and, I'm sure, had lots of plans. Life is uncertain folks, eat dessert first.

An informal survey this weekend from The Johnnie insiders were unanimous in their opine for the 2008 Johnnie QB starter.

Yeah Dusty, any chance your personal fountain of information Boyle's over and enlightens the rest of us?  Or would that information be more than we could Hansel?  Would it be fair to deCrees that one of the candidates is out of the running due to injury?
