So, on to golf...Had a great time yesterday out at River Oaks in Cold Spring for the Book 'em's Bar golf scramble. Many Miller Lites and Cold Spring products were needed to quench my thirst on a (finally) hot afternoon. I'm definitely a beer player. Started off spraying the ball all over, by the end of the round we were using my ball 80% of the time. Good times. Plan to visit Kimball GC this afternoon with Fins IV.

Fins, since you and fins IV should get around that track in decent golf time, may I suggest having a couple/3 Hamm's or Cold Spring products before you hit the 1st tee box?

Then you'll be staying in the short grass all the way around.  ;)

Those types of claims, while getting occasional media attention and keeping snopes.com busy, are almost always weeded out by prudent intake screening, and significant risks and penalties for those claimants and the shoddy lawyers who assist them.

Fins, you almost made me lose my breakfast.  Significant risks and penalties?  MN and CA must be two different worlds in this respect.  I'm glad it's different where you live.  And if you thought my comments were a shot at your clientele, you are mistaken.

What happened to beer, football, fishing and beer?  ???  ::)

Snoop started it.  Mini Van's are powerful conversation starters. Excuse me...female mini van drivers.

Huh, I've had a rash of +k this morning.  Will wait for the "regresson to the mean" to kick in.

I mentioned beer, didn't I? And after golf, it's burgers at the lodge followed by a couple of hours on the pontoon, hopefully catching sunnies for tomorrow night's fish fry.

As for the tart debate, I have tended to favor the blonde variety, but really feel like I haven't given the red-heads a fair shot.

Just opened my mail at work and got a flyer from Qwest printed entirely in Spanish. Good thing I know the language so I can avail myself of the opportunity to cambia hoy a internet super rapido, calidad 100% digital en TV y llamadas locales ilimitadas: Todo junto con un excelente y bajo precio. !

Personally I prefer it if my tarts don't reform.

Any MIAC schools want to follow the Michigan Wolverines with a Women's Football Academy?

The other day I saw a mini van with spinning rims. I laughed out loud! Nothing is going to make your mini van "cool", just give up!!

I hate mini vans that insist on parking in spots designated for compacts. Just because it is a "mini" van doesn't make it a compact!!

What is the deal with the dvd players in mini vans? When I was a kid we just had to use our imagination to pass the time on long trips. Or read, motion sickness be damned! Way to teach your kid to have the attention span of a knat!

I hate all drivers talking on their cell phones or worse, texting while they are "driving". I will hang up on my friends if they call me while they are driving.

Women and elderly drivers aside, the group that strikes fear in my heart is young male drivers. They seem to be the ones that are most agressive on the road. Just the other day I saw one weaving in and out of traffic, coming within a couple of feet of the cars around him and doing it all at 60+ mph. He might have been fully in control of his vehicle, but his actions put everyone else in danger of losing control of their vehicles due to his erratic driving. It was hard to anticipate what he was going to do. It also cracks me up when one will be in the lane next to me at a stop sign and want to "drag race" with me when the light turns green. I drive a red Honda Civic EX and while it might look sporty, acceleration isn't its forte. Oh, and by the way, I just filled my gas tank this morning...$34. 8) Since I have been riding my bike to work, I only have to fill up once a month.

I'm going to Milwaukee for the weekend, and will drink beer for 3 days and eat a fish sandwich the size of a football, and drink more beer. How's that 57?
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Worth some karma  -- if it's Hamms maybe you'll get double karma.  :D

Ah, good old Book ems tourney...I semi-remember my time there.  I do remember dan-o on the tables after the tourney throwing shirts and prizes at people.
Heaven isn't too far away,
Closer to it every day

Frank: I've seen similar performances, but last night I had to miss the post-tourney gala. I'm sure a good time was had by all. I golfed with Dan-o yesterday. When we made the turn he stopped in for a Jag. A couple of holes later his attitude towards golf seemed to change.

I don't care who you are, that there's funny right there.

Off to Kimball...
