I know I sound wussy, but driving 5 hours, shotgunning beers, then driving another 5 hours doesn't sound like fun.  Sounds like the WI State Troopers will be on the lookout, too.  Maybe I'll do one for tradition.

A tradition unrivaled...

KR - Grew up in Chippewa Falls (home of Leinenkugels) and spent a year in Appleton after grad school then on to colorful Colorado.
My sister lives in Titletown (not this year) so that's where we go when we visit.
Now some smart a$$ will wonder why I'm not cheering for Eau Claire or St. Norbert's.

JOHNNIES are like Marines no matter where they come FROM!

No wondering here... I wouldn't cheer for EC (What the F*@k's a bluegold?) or SNC either.

what about panhandling not to get smited??

I'm still weighing my options for this weekend.  It looks about 50/50 for a trip out to Whitewater.  I'm waiting for something to sway my opinion to one side or the other.

Back by popular demand...(well, that might be a stretch)

Bus Driver, you think I won't be at the SJU/WW tilt? Guess again. I'll be joining the Dusty caravan to watch my club take on the Warhawks.

Been a little busy this Fall with work, kids, weddings, etc.  Nevertheless, all ready for the stretch run to Salem.  Thanks to the NCAA Selection Committee, looks like the title game will take place a week from this Saturday. Never seen a tougher region than the West.

Feels good to be back!

TC,

When does your bus with the keg take off for Whitewater?  Make sure you arrive early and are fully prepared to shotgun...

As Shoes mentioned, it's still up in the air.  There may be a split squad headed out in the Escalade (Roush, what?) Friday evening to paint Eau Claire red before continuing on to Whitewater, or we may be departing The Mound at 4-ish Saturday morning.  Regardless, we will be in WW in plenty of time to properly teach them how to shotgun.

Speaking of learning how to properly shotgun, I may have turned in the worst non-photo-taking shotgun performance in the history of Stifftungfestivities last weekend.  My time wasn't bad, but I absolutely drench a Johnny faithful (I'm sorry, I forget which one) when I popped the hole, but then I airballed the tab when I went to open the can.  I felt like a Monmouth as I was overwhelmed by the speed and technique of the Johnnies around me.  I had Gagliardi do some gameplanning for me for the upcoming weekend, though, so I should be just fine.

our o-line is so pourous that tanney is still getting sacked two days later....

Jeez, when will it end???? ???

Love it!  Good to see you guys still have a sense of humor.  I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that we'd be happy to have you back for the first round next year (and not just because we put up 62 unanswered on you, either...).  I just wish someone had taken me up on my friendly t-shirt wager--I mean, I was giving you 10 points...

Which would be a bigger upset, SJU over MUC (circa 2003) or CON over LIN (circa 2005)?  Hopefully after this weekend we can change the question to "Which was the the bigger upset..."

Any chance the Johnnies outdraw UWW this weekend?

1.  UWW grads may be PE majors but they already know how to shotgun

2.  You guys just might out draw UWW it sounds like you guys are bringing all of central MN with you.

Mr.Shoes

The worst part about TC's attempt at shotgunning? I completely missed it--both with my eyes and camera. Durnit.
Nice day, huh?
