Touchdown Tommy

Duffy,

Can you bring some 30 pks of Hamms?  I heard a nasty rumor it isn't sold in Iowa and only available in 24 pks in Illinois.

Congrats to Damien Dumonceaux for being named a finalist for the Gagliardi Trophy!  What an honor!

MC QB Mitch Tanney is on the list as well.  Wouldnt it be ironic if he gained more votes than dumonceaux.....

Well at least you can be assured that Tanney will receive more votes than McNamara! ;) Mitch's only chance to come out "on top" in that match-up!  ;)

Smart *ss comment aside...congrats to Tanney on a great season and being a finalist!  ;D

Have been tending to some other issues since Saturday's game, so sorry for the late post...

...just a quick thanks to the hospitality of the tailgating crew @ the double-wide, double-tall last Saturday...I felt like Chevy Chase pulling up to WallyWorld ("first ones here..."), so thanks to JR, duffman, johnny_esq, etc. for showing me around.

...and a thanks to Snydzz for the cheeseburger plug - I worked my a** off preparing that.

I can only hope to see you guys again next year, only maybe in a later round of the play-offs....

M & G-
I think one of your boys (Talge) was a Gagliardi finalist last year.

Based on the blubs about each finalist and what I've read up (mostly on d3football.com, of course), here is my ballot, if I had a vote:

1. Knoblauch
2. Tanney
3. Harbaugh
4. Dumonceaux
5. Elliott

Remember, the award's criteria is football accomplishment PLUS academics AND community involvment, unlike the D-I Heisman which is strictly football performance. (No knock on Elliott, and certainly not on Dumo, but Knoblauch's overall combination of the three aspects ar extremely impressive)

Anyone else's thoughts?

So Duffman offers the "luxurious ride" in a 2004 Honda Accord and all I can provide is a ride in my 1992 Buick Regal? What's wrong with this picture? :o

JR-
Where can I buy/get some "JR For County Attorney" bumper stickers? I need a bunch to hold my 1986 Taurus together.

Just to make you feel worse JR, there's a good chance TC, BumFighter, and I will be rolling into WW in an Escalade. Granted, it belongs to none of us...
Nice day, huh?

Maniac-- Yeah you are right Talge (former roommate now Senator in training) was a finalist.  I was just wondering how the field is narrowed to ten.

Congrats to all 10 finalists, truly a great honor, and by reading the blurbs on them, all 10 are very deserving.

Has Jodan changed his goals? I thought he wanted to be Gov? Or is it Gov, hen Sen, then Pres? :)

If so, I expect the Pres to conduct the ceremonial cointoss before the Stagg Bowl each of his years in office!

M&G - Let's both try and stop stating that our claim to fame was that we were both former roomates of Talge - we both have always wondered who he slept with to get that nomination.  The jury is still out on that one.

Just Kidding Talgs.  Why don't you start posting on here again?
To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

Wrong again, education is where the big bucks are at.

Actually I think my income was close to the same as it is now when I was in college racking up student loans. Oh well, summers off will have to do.

Try working in higher education...then you don't even get summers off! :'(
