I read the other day they were going back to the old formula.

Anyone going to the SJU Football Kick-Off Luncheon today?

Those going may actually hear some new material from Gags.

And I can watch it from right here in my office - link at gojohnnies - http://www.gojohnnies.com/football/
Wow!  Thanks for pointing out the webcast.  Hadn't noticed that.

Too bad Oz is asleep ...  ;D
I'm assuming they'll archive it and we can replay later. 8)

Thanks for thinking of me, fellas.  Makes a guy feel loved.

No replay posted on gojohnnies.com as of yet, but I despair not.  If they can stream this event to satisfactory review...  and they can post youtube highlights of last year's season...  then it's not unreasonable to hope there will be streaming video of games before too long...  Maybe with the radio broadcast providing the play-by-play...

And that would be an exciting development.

(And maybe they could post the games during the off season for replay so that poor shouldabeen, not to mention the rest of the CA's hanging here, need not suffer through my Aussie Rules boosterism.)

Oh - and thank you all for posting your thoughts and updates as the event occured.  Someone was getting pretty excited as he munched on his cornflakes this morning in the land of Oz.

We might get a strong D line...  strong O line...  I'm a gettin' excited.

57 - FYI, I 'm not a big fan of the Honey Wheat or Honey Weiss or whatever it is., so the Sunset Wheat doesn't tickle my fancy either. I've never had it, so it's only an educated guess. Give me a full bodied lager, or my personal favorite, Leine Red.

Under 9 hours now until the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in lovely Beijing...

May we see many lovely shots of Chairman Mao hanging over the entrance of the Forbidden City.  This photo taken from just across the street in Tienanmen Square (blood stains not visible on Google Maps) demonstrates how thick the pollution really is.  The police officer is standing under the umbrella to protect from the heat, this being a summer day, rather than the rain you may suspect from the gray sky.

The best thing about these games?  When they are finished, there will only be 13 days until kick-off.  (And of course, we gotta cheer for Matt Schnobrich, who is blogging the games at St John's website here.)

Leinie's Sunset Wheat tastes like Fruit Loops--I'm being serious.

I just read in Frank's blog that Josh Rose will be sitting out this season for academic reasons...

Never had Fruit Loops but think I'll pass on the Sunset Wheat anyway.  :P
Thank you for sparing me the expense. Will probably settle for Avalanche or Fat Tire for tomorrow's party. :)

I think most Leinie's products are swill, altough their Red is good, and I love their Oktoberfest.

I was weaned with the original so didn't know any better.  :D Always heard both Red and Octoberfest were good. Also heard that Big Butt was quite potent.

BDB,
Are you entered in tonight's 'boot kicking' contest at the Dunn County Fair ??? :P

I'm thinking of boot kicking Duffman for dissing Leinie's Original as swill.  >:(

But, I'm just going to blame it on the odd effects of 080808.  ::)

Tonight, no boot kicking. Son of BDB and I are going to see the Vikes. Great seats. Right on the rail where the cheerleaders come out.  :o

I would really like to be there when you "boot kick" Duffman.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.
