I would really like to be there when you "boot kick" Duffman.
It's ok. I figured you would help me.  ;)

Sorry, I stand by my statement.  I told my relatives from Chippewa Falls that this past weekend, and they were horrified. ;D

I'll bet! Telling someone from Chip that Leinenkugel's is swill, well, I'm surprised there was no gun play involved.  :D

Any relatives keel over with a heart attack?

Did everyone take a long weekend?

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Just think - in 4 weeks JJR will be firing up the grill (right about now) for the first JOHNNIE game of the year  :)
Now that the Favre business is finally over, I'm ready for some football  ;)

I was doing Chloroflorocarbon certification in Chippewa Falls about 15 years ago.  It was kind of a big deal as Wisconsin required everyone working on automotive air conditioning to be trained and certified.  Some one called the Leinnies plant and asked if they had any "brokens to donate" for after the class.  A Ford Ranger full of all different blends showed up.  I left about 11pm to correct tests and the consuming was in full throttle mode.  The next morning at 7:30am I arrived back with test scores and certificates.  There were beer cans, bottles and pizza boxes everywhere inside the shop area.  By 8am every individual, who passed, stopped to pick up their certificate.

Duff might call it swill, but the locals love it and can consume large amounts.  Drinking large amounts and still be at work the next morning.  I believe anywhere, that makes it good stuff.

Leinie's Sunset Wheat tastes like Fruit Loops--I'm being serious.

Fruity Pebbles actually.  Is there a difference?

Kilted - Still think El Caballo couldn't help us? He's only been the best player in the bigs this month. Here's his season breakdown.

.314 (Morneau .311)
28 bombs (18)
100 RBI (89)
61 runs (69)
4 stolen bases (0)
12.5 mill (8.5)

I'd love to see him hitting third, between Mauer and Morneau. That has the potential to be a better combo than Papi/Manny over the next few years, IMO. And we could easily hide him at DH when he finally gets too fat to play OF.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

Important election news.

I go for Krystal.  On the plus side she demonstrated a great stroke.  On the minus, she somehow managed to miss one cone in the cart driving.  A balanced and tough to judge ledger.

Been away for a few days.

I just read in Frank's blog that Josh Rose will be sitting out this season for academic reasons...

DM;  I originally heard he was going to spend the fall semester studying in Japan... I believe JohnnieEsquire had it correctly when he suggested it would have been more sushi and saki than anything else... maybe the trip to the rising sun was his original cover when he didn't make the grade.  If head size is any indicator of intelligence this guy is a Rhodes Scholar.

Looking at the survey above, it appears as if someone has voted "He's Bleeding Purple, Baby!" in the last day.

Bad break for Cuddyer and for the Twins as they likely won't add a right handed bat.
