What's going on over at JF.com?  I know the site went into hibernation during the spring/summer but that site has dried up like TDT's sex life*.

Speaking of TDT he did tell me that he submitted a Top Ten list of the best highway overpass spans to sleep under in the Twin Cities but I guess it didn't make past the JF.com editors.

I'm beyond my expiration date, too.  I'm not telling you when I go to to the beach.

Are you bloated and bulging, too?   :D
Somewhat! ;) But I spend too much time indoors on PP, so I'm as white as that milk bottle. ;D

We're gearing up to start adding content again very soon.  Mr. Shoes is also working on  a redesign.

This really pisses KS off.

Speaking of getting pissed off and commie bastards...

How about this: Underage gymnastics competitors

Or this: Rampant biased judging

The Chicoms are doing their best to outperform the Soviets at their best worst.

For those interested here's a preview of UST from their website.

http://www.tommiesports.com/ftbl/news/08FBPree.html

Interesting notes on Sauer (didn't realize he ranked that highly on the list) and Margarit.

"Sauer has played in 20 career games and has completed 60% of his passes for 4,461 yards and 40 touchdowns. He needs 1,979 passing yards to close his career second on the UST all-time list."

"Margarit had a breakout season in 2007 as he went over 1,000 career yards with 51 receptions for 578 yards...Margarit holds one unusual distinction -- he was the lone Division III player with 50 or more catches who didn't score a touchdown in 2007."

Also it will be interesting to see which way the D goes, two years ago they were stellar but the O was terrible, and last year it seemed they seemed to reverse roles.

I know the "high profile freshman" have been the biggest news over the summer but I think that the Transfers will make more of an impact.

Also Four members of this years squad are also playing hoops for the Tommies this season.

I suppose this means I'm repping the Tommies for those who were wondering.

snoop dawg

GF....If I had my way.... a Gustie or Johnnie fan I would be.  Oh well.  Who knows what will happen next year?

Jilted Queensland wife auctions love rival's underwear on eBay

A SCORNED Queensland woman is literally airing her husband's dirty laundry on a global scale by auctioning his mistress's knickers on eBay.

In a spiteful listing on eBay Australia, the jilted woman is auctioning off a pair of lacy black underpants "size humongous" and an empty condom wrapper "size small" found in her bed after her husband allegedly engaged in an extramarital affair with a woman named Kylie.

The listing, if you want to see it, is available here.  The auction closes in four days so make sure to get your bids in now.

Oz, the size perception is missing there.

Frank's next installment of his MIAC season preview is up (didn't this take like four weeks to roll out last year?):

Augsburg: 19 starters return to a good chance of something
St Thomas: sucks (maybe that's just how I read it)

So I'm sitting here doing my normal morning computer stuff, with the US/Greece BB game on in the background (btw, I discovered that soccer is the perfect game to have on in the background, because the occassional rise in crowd noise will alert you to anything that is about to happen that is worth watching)....

...and it occurs to me that a good patriotism litmus test might be whether you want the US team to win or not.

As I watch every other olympic sport, I emotionally want the US to win.  But I'm ambivalent in basketball.  I don't want the embarrassment of losing.

But the lure of the underdog is strong.

And, it's bizarre watching a game where one side, the US, plays like it's an all-star game and the other side plays a team oriented game like we all learned to play it.

Yea, Tommies suck, but their football team is about to get a lot better, I think.

OzJohnnie

Just a quick note before I hit the hay.  I have been watching the US v Greece this evening as well and the thought occurred to me that it takes the Olympics for me to cheer for NBA players.  The Aussies men are playing really poorly so I won't have that conflict, but the Aussie women are playing top ball so there is setting up to be quite a match for the gold between the US and Oz with the women folk.

In scanning the UWW 2008 schedule I noticed Eau Claire is listed twice... too much beer and cheese curds for the athletic director?  Ah yes, the championship hangover persists....
