Still using freshman data for the upper classmen I see.

They usually just go by whatever the player lists on his info card.  Your son could have listed himself at 6'4" 255lbs if he wanted  ;D

A tradition unrivaled...
MIAC Champions: '32, '35, '36, '38, '53, '62, '63, '65, '71, '74, '75, '76, '77, '79, '82, '85, '89, '91, '93, '94, '95, '96, '98, '99, '01, '02, '03, '05, '06, '08, '09, '14, '18, '19, '21, '22, '24
National Champions: '63, '65, '76, '03

Wildcat11;  No worries here... TDT AKA Nacho Libre will carry the ball...

TDT and balls?  I heard that when PC comes around that TDT is ball-less.

I've seen him play once or twice.  I actually played with his older brother.  Can't really comment on how he'll do.  Keep an eye (or ear, in your case  ;) ) out for Luke Sweeter.  He's a rock star.  Also, I have heard great things about the Bohlmann kid.

Johnnie Red

             2008 - REDEMPTION FOR THE BOYS IN COLLEGEVILLE

The most games coached at 588 in 2008 when the Cobbers come to Collegeville,
Coach Gagliardi sets another record in addition to 60 years of providing thrills.

Sending chills through the Johnnie fans for such acclaim, watching from the hills,
the players on the field deserving so much respect and still doing the "nice day" drill.

Going back to Royaland in `07, losing to Bethel with so little time to kill;
second in the MIAC and then Central putting the Johnnies through the mill.

Speaking of Baptists, mention East Texas Baptist, traveling from the south uphill,
to the north and the land of lakes, trees, the Abbey Church, all in Collegeville.

Redemption is for the Johnnies in `08, showing on the field of play superior skills;
four home games in a row to begin, then back to the Baptist school in Arden Hills.

Ranked higher than the Johnnies in pre-season polls, the Royals fans want to swill.
Oh, wait, they would never do that, just like dancing, something to spit out like a pill.

The season of `08 for the team of Red and White, the goal is the top of the hill;
the conference, the playoffs, the game in Salem, the climb begins 9/6 in Collegeville.

So many Johnnies he can't keep them fed

I know the initial data wasn't his own; he would never have listed himself as 190 even as a frosh.  He may have had chances to correct it since (he's at least 20 lbs more than that now); that's entirely possible. ;)  Along those lines, I was kidding him this summer about the "rules" for football pictures in high school: (1) Scrunch your head down to make your neck look as thick as possible, and (2) no smiling.  The serial killer look. :D

The White Silly

Gotta be honest, pretty sure the Johnnies won't be experiencing any substantial redemption this year.  I foresee a 7-3 campaign.  Decent but nothing special.  They're good, but just not that good.

1) Augsburg 10-0
2) Bethel
3) Johnnies

TC

tmert, how do you expect St. John's to play the "undersized and malnourished" card against the WIAC schools and Mount Union if they were to list actual heights and weights?

TWS, I, for one, welcome our new Auggie overlords.  The Johnnies are fortunate that they get Augsburg at home following a bye week--hopefully they can at least keep the game close for a half or so.  If the game was at The Cage?  Forget about it.

Mr. President:
1. Golf game sucked azz, but it was fun anyway. The driver showed up on a few holes for the lone bright spot in the game.
2. A lot of big hits? WTF are you smoking? Last I saw he was hovering around .286 which means he'll need a hit for each of his remaining at bats of the season to reach .300. Go buy the Hamm's now!
3. Confirmed. I hope to empty enough Hamm's cans that day, then find some nice young lady who can knit me one of those cool beer can hats. I hear knitting is making a comeback.

Yours truly,
Mayor Fins
