Wow lots of tomfoolery since my last post.  Nice to see a little fire from the Peanut Gallery.  Now it is time for some of the off season hibernators to come out and play regularly.

I only stayed until the end of the first half (or whatever they call it in a scrimmage) and I'm blind enough that it usually looks like 22 guys just running around...but I didn't think the Tommies played very well overall...same old turnovers and penalties at key times. 

And it looks like they have quite a few guys banged up including the new phenom Mr. Duncombe (who is pretty good) who carried the ball three straight times at one point, getting hurt on the third carry, with what looks like maybe a sprained or bruised knee.

If TDT made it, I'm sure he can provide a much better technical analysis.  But from my point of view, after watching parts of two practices and two scrimmages, they still suck!

WOW! In just a week JJR and the troops will be firing up the grills and breaking out the red cups for the season's first Stiftungfestivity.

So I made my first trip to Canterbury Park last night and it was fantastic...I will definitely be going back there.  Nothing like putting $8 to win on a longshot on your first bet and winning $107.

I was surprised, but not shocked that Coach Schoenebeck announced his resignation.  He was definitely the epitomy of class and he definitely brough the program back to respectability.  I hope the team can bring him a conference championship in his final season.  It would be a great way to go out.

Word on the street is that the replacement list is short and my money would be on Coach Brown taking over the reins.

As much or as little as there has been on JF.com, it's a whole lot more than there has been in the Daily Planet so far this season.  Even when Frank does go to practice, he seems intent on limiting his observations to a couple of sentences.  He could get as much or more content in his blog if he did it in haiku.
