Ritz, you are so multi-talented and loveable, I can't imagine any woman trying to extract monthly payments if it meant your absence from her life. In fact, I would think most women would pay you each month for the privilege of hanging out with you, insisting that you had adequate time for going to ball games with your buddies, just so you'd be happy.

Feel free to print the above in case there's time for her to reconsider your decision to not go to the UWW game.

Posters interested in Saturday's contest;

Don't let anyone fool you or tell you otherwise.... this WWW team comes from the same mold, same model and sameness that has made the WIAC what it is today.... a step too slow.

Expect the same result Saturday.

developing.....

Boy I hope you mean like the 92 and 95 UW-L Eagles... the ones that won the Stagg bowl...  gee I think they play in the WIAC

My two cents worth The award was/is designed to honor excellence in all three apscts-- football, academcis and community. The spirit of the award is what is so special and wonderfual abouf D3. Let's hope the voters remember this balance of athletic, academic and community service when they cast their ballots and do not turn this into a "just football success" award.

That seems to sum up Brett Elliott very well....not only is the guy a great football player but has been very involved in the Linfield and McMinnville community.

if the Gagliardi were striclty a "on the field" award, it should go to Elliot. But since it isn't supposed to be, how does he stack up in academics and community service, the other 2 criteria-

here's the non-football part of the summary of Elliot's nomination:
"worked with the Linfield Review campus newspaper and campus radio station KSLC...served a summer internship with KFXX radio in Portland...served as a speaker at freshman colloquium and volunteered as a weekly tutor and mentor to an at-risk fifth grade student for nine months. "

let's see.....an internship (wow) at a radio station....working on the school paper (another wow)--- both things ANY Communication major does or should do

I'll give him a brownie point for the metoring program. Helping out in one program isn't an unusal level of "excellent community service", IMO... Wildcat, here in the MIAC we have dozens of kids in all sports who are involed in several programs like that simultaneously, so its nothing to gte blown over by.

But since Concordia is going to ruin the end of his college football career, if he needs a consolation prize.....

After the game, the king and pawn go into the same box.

SUMMIT!!!!!

NOT that the gags is a consolation prize (deep breaths Dusty)   ;)

Did I put someone else down?  No, all I said is that Elliott has been very well rounded since his time at Linfield both on and off the field.  Of course, *I* think Brett Elliott should win this award but that is the Wildcat talking in me...if I was an outside observer I would have to lean towards.........Brett Elliott.

Go figure. McMillan picks against the Johnnies.

Wildcat-
no, you didn't put anyone down, nor am I putting Elliot down. I would love to hear some concrete reasons he should win. I readily agree he would walk away with the award if it was purely for on-field accomplishments.  I guess I'm hoping your or some other Cat posters can expand on his contributions & accomplishments off the field.  As it was capsulized from his nomination, that part of him seems pretty lean.
