56321-

+K, but it's Wednesday.   ;D

I  read your post on the MIAC in game update page Saturday just after halftime of the Johnnie game. I thought your bit about finsleft getting hassled by the security was some sort of inside joke.

Then I talk to fins and he tells me the same story, and that you were posting from the game. Well done.  8)

Duffman's preview of the UWRF Falcons is up on www.JohnnieFootball.com

Nice article Duff, as usual +K!
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Are there any Bethel posters on here anymore? Big game this week and no action on the boards. Just wondering. I know you St. John's fans don't care too much about the Royals.

Well done Duff once again +k & +k Wednesday all around.

Not knowing anything about football and only listening to the first game on my iMac from 1300 miles away, I had a couple of concerns about the JOHNNIES:

1) The running game

2) Special teams: 2 running into the kicker (Duff mentioned that probably caused John apoplexy); punting average less than 40 gross & 33 net; I think only 1 punt run back at all; I don't think any punts inside the 20 or touchbacks on kickoffs............... I bet that gets some work this week 8)

The running game always concerns me.  Hopefully, it just takes a little time for the offensive line to hit their stride.  There are some talented individuals there, so I think we'll be alright if they come together and work as a unit.

I think the kicking game will be fine.  The rust has been removed now.

As for the running into the punter penalties--easy to fix, and you better believe that the culprits got an earful.

USTBench

Hey fellas,

I've been AWOL for quite sometime but that's because the old staff checked out big time towards the end. I had to see UST beat up on MAC for old times sake to feel like I could at least start commenting again.

Good to be back.

VOJ,  where exactly is the Stonehouse?...I might actually be in St. Cloud on a business trip and could maybe stop by for a couple few minutes (even though I hate the Johnnies)....I have to sell a a couple copy machines to some St. Cloud public schools that day and could use a place to heavily wet my whistle before I hit the road, so if the invite is open to all I might just have to stop in for a spell and make my presence known to all (loudly as i am a true sanguine)...let me know...BUT, if i sell 4 copy machines tomorrow in the western dakota's I might not be making the trip as i will have met my quota and never feel the need to go above and beyond the work asked of me (doing the bare minimum leaves time for me to indulge myself in my selfish undertakings such as SimCity/tecmobowl leagues (qb eagles) etc...(exsetterah)...VOJ dawg, just let me know...how bout Tarvaris?....i don't think he could even start for Crown College...Cheers to incredibly frustrating Vikings season!...we need to fire Childress and bring back Jerry Burns and Rick Fenney and Hassan Jones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Waiting to see how they do this weekend against a quality opponent before I get too excited about them.  They do have a lot of quality guys back this year, and they performed well last weekend against a weak opponent, but it will be interesting to see how they do without Wetzell's dual threat skills at QB.
I have optimism, but, it is guarded at the moment.

Mr. Ypsi

I'm not from Bethel (or Wheaton), but view the game as a toss-up.  I've been picking Bethel (at even odds), feeling that second game trumps home field.

Wheaton does have an absolute beast in Pete Ittersagen (a very real chance of playing on Sundays in the future), but I'm not yet sold on the total package.
