Cobber fans:  No one tires of insufferable Linfield fan braggadocio and insecure hyperbole more than I do and you are now getting a taste of it.  I like Linfield and have the utmost respect for the Linfield team -- they are true gentlemen athletes from what I've seen when they've played SJU.  I hope for a Cobber win and an SJU win and an all-MIAC west region final.  Although the vast majority of the Linfield fans are very decent, I'll never forget that one old guy who yelled at and berated the team on the sidelines in 2003 when SJU beat them.

Yeah Royal...I've met an attorney who posts on the MIAC board.     Reading your posts, one obviously can tell you aren't one of those professions.   That trailer park line kinda eliminates "comedy writer" as well.

I have a novel thought for all of us. Let's go back to bantering about football rather than personally attacking each other like we are elementary kids at recess.  We're getting dangerously close to seeing someone type "My Dad can beat up your dad!"

We have two huge games coming up this weekend with a ton of implications and some great story lines. 

1) Ball Control--SmashMouth vs Air Assult
2) MIAC vs WIAC again.

Regardless of result it should be fun for all.......ok more fun for two teams..but a great weekend for DIII football.

Chewey....I'm sorry to hear about the idiot who was berating the Johnnie Team after the game. I very much enjoyed meeting you and Brice before the game as Johnnie Red and I strolled to the game that wonderful Saturday morning on the Linfield Campus. That was a hard fought battle but the better team won. The Johnnies are the real deal. If you go up against the Johnnies in the playoffs you will know if you are a good team or a great team by whether you beat them or not. They come prepared and are very shifty with great athletes. I have a feeling that Concordia is a great team, but they are not in the same league quality wise as the Johnnies. I may change my opinion after I see Concordia this week but that's how I feel now. I think the Johnnies must have had a down game vs. Concordia this year for the score to be so close. That being said, it does say alot about Concordia's defense. You've got to respect it they way they played the Johnnies so close and beat them last year. My hope is that both SJU and Linfield wins this week and that the best team wins at the CatDome.....good luck to all teams this weekend!

I also just want to give a heart felt Happy Thanksgiving to everyone out there.  It gives us time to reflect on what we are really thankful for - most notably football, and then of course family, friends and all that crap.

Good luck to all this weekend.  I hope for nothing but hard fought, clean and safe games this weekend.

Come on, Chewey. You know there's usually at least one jerk in every crowd. Recently on the OAC board the MUC folks were talking about their embarrassing fan. Maybe at some time even SJU has had a fan who didn't reflect favorably on the rest of you.
None of us likes it, but it happens.
Thankfully, most of us at the D3 level are better than that, no matter how we talk on here.

Concordia has a very talented team, and will be Linfield's toughest challenge. If they play defense like they did vs SJU, they have an excellent chance in any game, anywhere and that includes vs LC, UWW or SJU.

I just hope no one on any of the four teams gets hurt.....which reminds me, does anyone have any updated info on Monmouth's Morrrison?

            So very right you are my maniac friend.  The problem is 78, is that we have respect for one another in our conferance.  Saint John's University is the biggest game of the year for us, as I hope it is for them (besides when they rout the Tommies).  The fact of the matter is that we want to play each other again this season, and the only way to do that is by both getting past this round.  Don't take it personally UwW or Cat fans, but cripes we want to beat you really bad!  You don't see me go onto your posting pages and talking crap, I just want to see what others in the MIAC think.  I've gotten a really great impression of some Linfield fans and you couple of guys who say we're just up next on the butcher's block, well here's a fact you might like...CC all-time record against LC: 2-0.  But seriously, all you Cats are just going to get offended and fire right back anyways and make my karma go down anyways, so whats the point of being civil with you guy?  My appologies to UW fans, you shouldnt be in the middle of this row, but hey I just want to see the most anticipated re-match in the history of the MIAC.
