What I dislike about hockey is fighting.  Sure, fighting is fun to watch if you're talking boxing, wrestling, etc.  But it just seems like it's not part of the game.  The purpose of the game is to skate and put the puck in the net.  Fighting, to me, shows a lack of discipline.  It would be like clocking someone in a football game.

If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

I am anxiously awaiting new boat pics.

It's not new by a long shot, but it's in nice shape and the motor runs like a top.  16' aluminum with a 60 horsepower Mercury tiller.

Nice looking boat Duff! How fast will that Merc push it? I was gonna say I would race you, but you might beat me! :D
I fly any cargo that you can pay to run
The bush league pilots, they just can't get the job done
You've got to fly down the canyon, don't never see the sun
There's no such thing as an easy run

I didn't have my GPS on me when I tested it, but it felt like about 30 give or take a few MPH.  It's got tilt & trim and planes out really quickly, so it scoots along fast enough for me...for the time being.

That is plenty fast! When is the maiden fishing voyage? The sturgeon should be moving out of the Lake into the Rainy River pretty soon.

Duff,

I'm happy for you  :)

I know how much you love fishing, you will get many years of enjoyment out of your boat. Like you say, it's great for now and you can upgrade in the future. If you have kids in the future, you'll spend some quality time on the water with them & Mrs. Duff.

Will you and Mrs. Duff be making the trip to Collegeville to see the Corn Cobs the weekend?
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

Johnnie Red

Thanks to everyone who joined us at the Stiftungsfestivities on Saturday. TDT, thanks for the tent! And Fred Falcon, we always appreciate cheese curds from Wisconsin.
Sounds like the weather for the Cobber game should be very nice this coming Saturday. Great day for coach Gagliardi to set yet another record in coaching for college football. Hopefully the Johnnies will come away with another win.

I will for sure.  I am not sure if the Mrs. will be with me or not.

How were things with Life Safety on Saturday?  Did they leave folks alone?

If VOJ is reading, I'm getting frustrated not hearing the SJU kickoffs due to the commercials; since #2 is getting most of his playing time on the kickoff team, and he had several tackles on the kickoffs, all I can say is "Grrrrrr."   :(

Please note this is post number 666 for me, so it is possible something has come over me...Rev 13:17 "And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."

My first ship in the Navy was the USS Black, a destroyer with the hull number 666.  So I was marked a long time ago - which may explain a few things, including the commercials running over all the kickoffs. ;)
