Sunday morning headline in Whitewater ''SJU Ends UWW's Perfect Season 24-17"

meanwhile in McMinnville

"Cats Shocked By Cobbs 27-24 !! GHC, DenSLA, Linfield Beancounter, WC11, And Tuxguy All Vow To Never Eat Corn Again."

Sounds good to me Johnniebread, finally someone's making some sense on here.

Go Cobbers!  Go Johnnies!

You Will FEAR THE EAR

Willy Wonka

LacesOutDan - I feel fairly confident is saying my dad can beat up your dad. I mean, he's in the Cobbers Hall of Fame after being a star athlete on the football and basketball team during the 1970's. Ask ROR, he lived vicariously through him for nearly 8 years (when you include high school) :)

For my old man's sake, I'm pulling for the two MIAC teams this weekend. If they both pull it off, I can promise you he will be in the House that Gags Built next Saturday decked out in Cobbers gear. I'll try to have him squeeze into his old CC letter jacket and make the tailgate party. He may even be able to bring in some of his old college buddies for the event to have a competition before the competition, just in case any of these posters need any help in the shotgun tourney that is sure to occur :)

Happy Turkey Day all! Yes, even you TDT, if you are still out there!  :-*
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

fins - You know anything about a little...intrigue...surrounding the SCSU girls basketball team? Shoot me a PM if you do. I might need to give you a business call :)

Well, with 2 1/2 days to go before the big game I have come to my prediction: Johnnies 35, Whitewater 17.  3 points short of the Stomp.

Too much speed on both sides of the ball with the J's and too much creativity and experience in their coaching staff.  Whitewater will be as dead as their posters - becoming glaringly obvious on the first drive of the second half, regardless of the team with the ball.  The Johnnies play too fast and smart.  And in D3, smart and fast wins the game.  Tough guys can hang tough, but smart guys win.

First quarter will end close.  Either team could be leading, but not by more than 4 points.  Half will end with Johnnies up by 10.  Third quarter will end with Johnnies up by 17 (score will be 27 - 10).  One TD each in the last term to make it a 35 - 17 final.  Yardage will be 440 to the J's (280 passing) and 320 to the Hawks, 165 rushing.

One pick and no fumbles lost on the Johnnie side, while the Hawks will be picked twice and lose one fumble.

You'll know the game is over when: The Hawks radio half-time show is talking about how fast and smart the Johnnies are but that with one score the Hawks are back in it.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

This WIAC team is a different animal than most years it does have speed wich might shock the johnnies. They also went undefeated in confrence  another thing that is unusual.  You might want to check your turnover ratio as the Johhines have turned the ball over much more than the Warhawks this year.  35-17... come on this game comes down to a field goal and after seeing the johhnies stats on FG %... WW 24  SJU 21  ;D

oh c'mon 78.....the last thing a Cobber would do hug a johnnie...that would be like UWW depending on UWSP for leadership   :)

Concordia has a very talented team, and will be Linfield's toughest challenge. If they play defense like they did vs SJU, they have an excellent chance in any game, anywhere and that includes vs LC, UWW or SJU.

I just hope no one on any of the four teams gets hurt.....which reminds me, does anyone have any updated info on Monmouth's Morrrison?

So very right you are my maniac friend.  The problem is 78, is that we have respect for one another in our conferance.  Saint John's University is the biggest game of the year for us, as I hope it is for them (besides when they rout the Tommies).  The fact of the matter is that we want to play each other again this season, and the only way to do that is by both getting past this round.  Don't take it personally UwW or Cat fans, but cripes we want to beat you really bad!  You don't see me go onto your posting pages and talking crap, I just want to see what others in the MIAC think.  I've gotten a really great impression of some Linfield fans and you couple of guys who say we're just up next on the butcher's block, well here's a fact you might like...CC all-time record against LC: 2-0.  But seriously, all you Cats are just going to get offended and fire right back anyways and make my karma go down anyways, so whats the point of being civil with you guy?  My appologies to UW fans, you shouldnt be in the middle of this row, but hey I just want to see the most anticipated re-match in the history of the MIAC.

Go Cobbers!  Go Johnnies!
Good points Cobb,except Kubiack78 is a UWW fan :-[
