One scenario for the upcoming weeks.....
1. Oct. 18th - Concordia travels to Augsburg and loses.
2. Nov. 8th - Auggies travel the following week to Collegeville and have difficulty after the big win against a Johnnie team that has finally found a quarterback and always has a solid defense.
3. Nov. 15 - Johnnies then travel to CC the last game of the season needing a win against Coach Ramler for a 3 way share of the title.

Oh what a mess that would be.

Unlikely as the Johnnies would be left at home......

+K to the usuals in anticipation of some amped-up Twins talk. You guys worried about playing in Chicago?

The White Silly

Not to worried...Twins win 5-3...Blackbird goes 6/2/3 gives up 2 earned...Mijares are new "Senor Smoke" pitches solid middle relief...then we give it up to Nathan and thats a wrap...should be fun to watch

Morneau gets off the snide today going 4-5 with 4 RBIs.  Twins win 7-5.

Here's the kicker.... Since this 163rd game ridiculously counts towards regular season stats Morneau makes a statement to possibly get him the AL MVP after a lackluster September for him.

Mauer would need to go 0-7 or worse to lose the batting title tonight.

Here we come Tampa Bay Tampa Bay

Although this is being called a regular season game, I don't think fins is worried about Delmon going 7 for 7  8)

My prediction is that whoever wins the Twins/Sox game tonight will win the division by 1 game. :o
Boy, I sure hope I was right about this prediction made back on 7/31, since we won that game 10-6. :o

Blackburn crashes and burns, twins go down 4 early.  Rally with Punto, Gomez, and Tolbert going back-to-back-to-back.

Final from Chicago......Twins 11 Sox 8

I guess this is going to be Baseball Day in the MIACPP, yes?  Good.  We've finally hit the time of the year that I follow baseball. :D  Go Twins!!!!

Next we get bennie and Duff in some serious hockey talk. ;D

OK peons, here's how it will go:

Blackburn pitches a complete game shutout. Delmon goes 6 for 6 with a walk-off to end the game and gets carried off the field. Reaching the dugout he collapses in tears upon discovering he finished with a .299, and will not get to split the coveted Hamm's Trophy with TDT.

I don't think so. I've heard that, including  DIII football, fishing is Duffman's favorite violent sport  8)
bennie, on the other hand, is happy that Claude Lemieux is coming back  ;)

I think it is going to depend on how Gardy uses the bullpen, he needs to stay away from using the usual suspects, think Gurrier and Boof.  Getting up on the Sox early will be the key.

TWS: Will you be at Bethel on Saturday?  It would be a pleasure to meet you...

Big game tonite.  TDT is skipping The Eagles concert to watch the game.  Stanbob is right on the money here.  Very very important to get out to a good start and take the lead.  The only sound sweeter than a rabid, raucous Metrodome sellout crowd is a dead silent Comiskey Park funeral...

Mayor: Would you like to go Double or Nothing on the wager?  I say the Twins take out Tampa Bay (provided they win tonite on the SouthSide)...

BlueDevilBob: When are you gonna come hang out with us??
