Does Olaf audible a lot?

The SJU crowd noise usually makes that very difficult, especially on crucial downs.

In the quarter and a half I was at their game vs Hamline I only recall one audible... but it may not have been one but a planned formation change.

They set up to go for two on a PAT and then realigned for a kick. I don't recall anything else, though. But I was focused on taking photos, not reading offenses.

Does STO audible alot?

Going back to what Wahoo had to say about this, they have plays that automatically become go-routes based on coverage - even when they are up 30 late in the fourth quarter  :-*

If this game gets out of hand - either way - does either coach hesitate to try to run up the score? Meidt is associated with Bethel and seems to have a recent history of it, which makes me think Gags would if he gets the chance (and has a pulse by that time). We all know SJU likes to, especially on so-called contenders :)

On a secondary note...can the Gusties beat the injury-ravaged Tommies this week?? They are coming off a bye, but will they be better prepared or play like they want the offseason, which they got just a little taste of this weekend?
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

How has St. Olaf prepared thus far in the season for the next two weeks? Two long road trips to the two toughest teams (year in & year out) in the MIAC. The players,if not the coaches must know the odds of winning two back  to back games on the road to SJU & Concordia are very very long. We will all find out soon enough, but I feel that STO has not yet "turned the corner" to be called an "elite" team in the MIAC let alone the nation.
As of now they're on DOUBLE SECRET Probation!

I'm just glad I won't have to hear that Ole announcer say, "..and that's another Ole first down!" or hear that damn Um Ya Ya song this year.

I am pretty sure you hear the Um Ya Ya song come out at least twice on Saturday on the visitor side.

Re: Audibles

Wonka maybe you can attest to this. Clemens is a great place to play, but its not like their are 30,000 people there screaming. I'm sorry to break to you proud alums, but its not hard to hear on the field at all. To be honest, audibles are the hardest @ Bethel on 3rd down because that Defense chat is so annoying. I'll give you a little more insight, you all know SJU plays a very sound base defense. Whats to audible? Its not like you see something you aren't expecting. The only thing that would cause an audible (I don't know if SJU still does this) is when they used to put their OLB out on top of the WR in obvious passing downs.

Maybe, but I won't have to hear it because I won't be sitting among your 250 fans.

Wahoo is right, the fans aren't that loud when you're on the field, though.

2001 &2004 were similar in that both times SJU was searching for an "identity" players stepping up into leadership positions. 2005 is a different team, leaders are in place.

Dusty,

I tried for 3 years to set him up at SJU... he always seemed to fumble the snap before the play really got rolling!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

KR;

Guess the trauma of driving "the bus" all those years was more than he could truly handle or appreciate...

I had a roommate just like that from Chicago who is now a cardiologist and actually became an absolute "hound" following the days after graduation....
