email your phone number to criswyly@usa.net

Ah, tricky.  Giving me a different Linfield athletic supporter's email address.  One that just dinged my karma at that.

You'll have to get up pretty early on the Mongolian Steppes to pull one as simple as that over a Johnnie's eyes.  You must be spending too much time talking with the Yak herd if that's the best Linfield has to offer.  Assuming you spend your time talking to the Yaks and not ... :-*

Anyone genuinely interested in keeping me updated is thanked for their efforts.

ruggerrat, check you e-mail/message board. I will be at the Catdome tomorrow!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Wow, I just noticed my karma has taken a spanking.  I guess those Linfield boys hold a grudge.  I must have hit too close to the mark and uncovered the lurid world of forbidden man-Yak love.

Tux;  I was indeed witness to the "jail break" that was SJU at the catdome in 2002... #400 to be exact..

As for the Wildcat hospitality I passed on the tailgate and opted for a nice visit with my friend the A-Man...!

The weather was terrific and the drive from Portland was exquisite!

There is one thing peculiar about Catdome hospitality... I guess I would have to refer to it as "paranoia".  On three separate occasions Cat fans approached me and told me how great their squad was.... I was under the impression that how "good" someone is was taken care of on the field...

Coincidentally the same "bravado" was experienced by a number of other Johnnie fans as well....

Don't get me wrong, we Minnesotan's have our fair share of paranoia as well... we "try" to be first or biggest in everything.... Mall of America (biggest mall), MN State Fair (largest of any known fair of its kind) Best education system (debatable)... we're just fly over country so there's lots to be anxious about...

But paranoid about how others view your small college football squad?....

That's just called plain ol' PARANOID!

Phone it in... Johnnie touchdown.... Johnnies' win, Johnnies' win!!!

I just wanted to post this-- the Milwaukee Paper's preview for tomorrow.

Safe travels to all- Go Johnnies! Go Cobbers!
SJU Champions 2003 NCAA D3, 1976 NCAA D3, 1965 NAIA, 1963 NAIA; SJU 2nd Place 2000 NCAA D3; SJU MIAC Champions 2018, 2014, 2009, 2008, 2006, 2005, 2003, 2002, 2001, 1999, 1998, 1996, 1995, 1994, 1993, 1991, 1989, 1985, 1982, 1979, 1977, 1976, 1975, 1974, 1971, 1965, 1963, 1962, 1953, 1938, 1936, 1935, 1932

Good luck to the Cobbers tomorrow.  Irrespective of the outcome, you'll find the atmosphere very friendly out there...probably more hospitable than dealing with SJU loudmouths like myself.   You'll be playing the best d3 team in the country and you will know how good your team is after the game.   I think that this Linfield team is as good or better than the Mount Union teams that I have seen over the past couple of years.  This Linfield team reminds me of the 2000 MUC team that had a great QB, great RB (Chuck Moore) and outstanding receivers (Adam Marino).  Much like that MUC team, Linfield is probably in a class by itself with teams like Concordia, SJU, MUC, UWW, at the next level.  Enjoy the time in Oregon.

at the time SJU took care of their business but now Linfield is the defending national champs and still ranked #1 so I think they have been taking care of it on the field.

OK here goes - I know a few guys on the Cobbs '78 team and they claim it was an eerily similar situation that they were in back then compared to the one tomorrow.  No one gave Concordia a chance.  That being said, and with the hope of a little cobber magic, my prediction and a repeat of history:

Cobbs 28, Linfield 27

Good luck to both teams - and I hope for a fun safe game on both sides of the ball.

Go Cobbers!

And same goes for the Johnnies.  Give em hell.

To me, clowns aren't funny. In fact, they're kind of scary. I've wondered where this started and I think it goes back to the time I went to the circus, and a clown killed my dad.

Harbor Cat--Thanks again for the invite tomorrow, but us cobbers have a bus of about 40+ fans that are going to tailgate at 10:30 around the stadium.  It was a nice long trip from Missoula, MT this morning.

The Cobbers arrived this morning at 9:30 PT and had a walk through this afternoon, sounds like everything went to plan and the cobbers are looking to knock off the defending champs tomorrow for the second year in a row. (St. Johns 2003 champs.)

Hopefully it will be a great game tomorrow and may the best team win.  I think special teams and field position will play a vital role in who will come out victorious.  Good Luck to the Johnnies tomorrow beat those hawks.

GO COBBERS!
