If you would have told me two years ago that an Auggie Tech/Carleton game would be getting hype, I would have laughed.  I'm still dumbfounded.  Anyone know if the game will be on the radio in the Twin Cities listening area?

Duff,
I'd check the Auggie website to see if they broadcast on the radio.  I know Carleton games are on the radio around Northfield (station out of Faribault maybe), but I don't think they are available in the twin cities.  If you have computer access I believe that Carleton is now streaming video of the games online now, but I haven't tried it out yet.

Also for those interested, I just saw that Coach Ramler will be a guest on WCCO radio's Sports Tonight with Mike Max (AM 830) at approximately 8:40 p.m. tonight.

Off Topic (but what isn't?): It's Fleet Week here and so I'm sitting at my desk watching the Blue Angels flying over SF Bay.  They are something.  And it sure beat watching the stock market. :'(

I'll be in beautiful Hastings Mn. this weekend. Will probably go to the River Falls, WW game unless one of the grandkids have something going on. I've even watched my grandson play hockey.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

I couldn't make hockey really little like I wanted to.

Be careful Flash, talking about something other than Auggie Tech and Carleton is sure to draw the wrath of Willy Wonka on this board.

I've really enjoyed the insightful postings related to the Auggie-Knight game this weekend. Great to see the keen interest in local football at the d3 level. I haven't seen either team this season, but based on slippery stuff such as who they've played, margin of victory, and other rather meaningless drivel, my gut goes to Augsburg by a couple scores.

There is a curious lack of interest in the Concordia - St. Thomas game this weekend up in Moorhead. I hope the team isn't as complacent as the posters.

I suspect the Johnnies will take out some frustrations on Saturday...could be ugly--you know, that monkey stompy brand of ugly we've long been accustomed to.

LAB--keep up the great posts. I'll be looking forward to your breakdown of next week's matchup with the Cobbers!

I see the Auggies have an internet feed, but I was hoping to check in while doing some yard work or from the boat.

As, come on, Duff.  If Bill Curtis can find the internet in the arctic, you can find it in your boat.

You just need a REALLY, REALLY long ear-phone cable!
Out of order, I'll show you out of order! You don't know what out of order is, Mr Task! I'd show you but I'm too old, I'm too tired, and I'm too f----n blind. If I were the man I was 5 years ago, I'd take a FLAMETHROWER to this place. Out of order, who the hell do you think you're talking to?

Actually, you can buy something like RocketFM.  It turns your PC into a little radio station so you can listen to the broadcast from a radio rather than being stuck at your desk.  There are a few competitors as well so shop around if you're interested.  Maybe hit eBay for a better deal on a used one.

EDIT: This technology is called "tunecasting" if you want to search around Google to find out more.

1)  I hope that I'm not considered one of the lurkers and the outsiders that only supports my team and is completely negative on the other squads!

2) I wish you'd learn to multi-task a bit more!  ;) ;) ;) !!!

1) Not even close. ;D

2) Does it count that last week I listened to the Johnnie game at Starbucks enjoying a mocha frappucchino light and online "window shopping" while the store was overrun by sorority girls wanabes because it is rush week? ;)

I'm ready for some hockey talk. How about them Blackhawks?

Flash,
Where did you get the picture used in the SJU program of Ritz72 his Sophomore year?  ;D
Wow... Hey sections, the only time your name appeared in any program was when you were voted Most Outstanding Camper at Bedwetting Camp

I'll be honest - I'm going to have to go in and watch some film on Concordia to have an educated opinion for next week. From what I hear, there's been so much change-over from the Cobber units that I played against that there may be a slight tweak here or there to the offense. But, if I HAVE to check out of the office early to stop in and watch some game film, I guess I'll do what I HAVE to do to appease the D3 boards! The sacrifices I will make.....

Good luck in the north land!  Though it is probably nothing more than a very unfair generalization of all UST students, the BMW-driving, daddy's-money spending idea follows the Tommies wherever they go. And, because of it, I must say that I'm hoping the big man upstairs thinks that Mr. Luther was right, and not the pope when he decides which way the loose balls bounce on Saturday!  Good luck, to both, but I'll probably be cheering for the Cobbers deep down inside!
